Update-It was not an epic failure. That taste, according to DD1, is good. It just didn't thicken very well. Since I tried to make chocolate yogurt, I am just going to freeze it for fudge pops.
Appears to be an epic fail. I wanted to make vegan yogurt with extra protein.
I think this is one of those things that actually may be more of a science than an art
I need to get a thermometer, I was pretty willy nilly with the temps.

What milk are you using? Almond doesn't work very well. If you use a non-dairy, you need an additive. I learned this the hard way, and ended up just returning the damn thing because it was too fucking fickle. lol

I.... don't get it. How can their be vegan yogurt? Isn't that an oxymoron? Not being snarky, I just had no idea this was possible. But I guess we live in a world of meatless chicken nuggets so I should get with the program!
It is made with plant based milk, I tried almond milk- didn't work out so well for me
I will try coconut milk next.
If you look, you would be surprised what is out there for alternatives!
I usually buy almond for DS, but switched to soy b/c it was higher in protein. I'd love to find something high in protein but w/o soy. I make a ton of stuff for him b/c of his allergies, but never thought to make yogurt!

I used almond milk and flax seed. I added protein powder as well. I think my temps were an issue. The flavor was good, so it will still be a good treat for the girls because I made fudge pops out of them.
