J is obsessed with the songs from Singing in the Rain, especially Make 'Em Laugh. He runs around singing and acting out the bit, complete with falling down at the very end. It's amazingly funny to watch.
We're raising a bunch of nerds over here. My kids love the classical Harry Potter soundtracks and my six year old requests them for her homework time.
Song in My Tummy and Boots by Laurie Berkner are also a big hit. Oh, and the You Are My Little Bird album by Elizabeth Mitchell and Dance for the Sun album by Kira Willey.
Claire's taste in music is singular- let it go is pretty much all she wants to hear. Audrey has a more eclectic taste. One day I pulled up a few songs on YouTube and sang along to them, home, hallelujah, piano man, and follow you into the dark are a few songs that I can sing along to without sounding terrible, so Audrey likes all of those. She will go up to the tv and shout "songs, songs"
The Barenaked Ladies have a children's CD (called Snacktime) that is really popular at our house right now. I think it's pretty fun. DS's favorite song is called Eraser, and he will run around saying Eeeee! Eeee! EEE-sur!

My 5yo daughter loves James Brown. She routinely asks for "I Feel Good". She also likes Echosmith, Chvrches & First Aid Kit. My husband and I like music, so we fully support this. She has her own rhapsody playlists. Don't get me wrong, she also likes some kid music, but she's always asking me to put adult music on her playlist too.
I'm embarrassed to admit I randomly have "Jesus walks" by Kanye on my iPhone and it came up on shuffle Saturday. Now DS requests "Bom, Bom, Bom" over and over again!
"Do you like waffles?" Parry gripp "Iko iko" the belle stars NOT Cyndi lauper!
DD loves music right now. They listen to music a lot at daycare. She has started requesting sic, sic, sic (music). They listen to a lot of pop songs sung by the Chipmunks. Party Rock Anthem and Hot n Cold are probably her favorites right now. Last week she was busting a move to the Ghostbusters theme song when DH picked her up.
Both of those songs are popular around our house. My brain is too fried to think of others, though.
Oh...Laurie Berkner's Rocketship song. OK, well anything by her is a hit around here. Fun for the kids and tolerable for me.
OMFG that Rocketship song. We decided to eliminate most TV about 2 months ago, but allow music videos because they are actually on their feet dancing around. If I have some cleaning to do, they'll play that on repeat.
Mr. Sun is also pretty popular right now, and in the car, DD1 requests Milky Chance, lol.
Frozen songs are typically the choice for musical performances.
Embarrassingly enough, Caramini likes "All About that Bass" and "Shake it Off". She told me at Christmas that she liked the "shake" song and that she is a player because she likes to play, play, play.
We love anything Laurie Berkner here, too. She also loves the Music Together CDs and top 100 pop music.
When we went to the Maroon 5 concert we took a video of Sugar and Animals because they are some of DD's favorite songs. She asks to watch the videos all the time
