We have a good friend who works in DH's department and really went to bat for him and had a huge role in him getting his new job at the end of December. Now there is an opening for the ideal shift for DH (same dept/job, better hours) and DH got it (yay!). She played a small role in helping him get that, too. We feel like we really owe her. What would be a good way to say thank you? We considered taking her family out for dinner some evening, but between the two families, we have 5 kids under the age if 6, so it might not be the most enjoyable dinner out. Do you think a gift card and a thank you note would be sufficient? She likes to take her kids out on "mommy dates" to certain places, so maybe a GC to one of those places? Or to a place for dinner?
I would get a gift card to one of the mommy date places with a nice card. That is so great that you have someone like that in your corner, and you also appreciate it!
