She is a senior, and is going to her own prom, already have the dress, the hair appointment and everything booked. She just texted me and said that a junior asked her to his prom too. It is in 2 weeks. Now I have to scramble to find a dress, and everything else~! I am happy for her, but c'mon kid, you couldn't have asked her before this? lol
lol, the dress we bought was for the senior prom, no way in hell she is wearing it to that prom. I am sure that she could borrow one, but she is a peanut, so it is very hard. especially on such short notice
I am hoping that she can just borrow one. I never wore the same dress, but I did have a few friends that were all little like me, so we could trade up. I am going to suggest she try that first.
My son had his own tux. He went to so many proms it was funny. If a girl from another school asked him and he was free and she paid expenses then I didn't care if they went and did provide flowers for each girl. His tux even went to proms without him, his buddies would borrow it. We live in Central Ohio with a LOT of area high schools.
I guess times have changed, I wore one of my dresses twice and even had the same date.
I don't think times have changed that much.
I'm 40 and I didn't go to prom, but no one I know who went to multiple proms wore the same dress to any of them. Wanting to be a standout at prom is nothing new.

I sympathize with you, but if I got asked to prom TWICE, there's no way in hell I'd be running that by my mom before accepting.
lol, funny thing is, she hasnt even been asked to her own prom yet, but all her friends are still going, with out without dates. As far as this one is concerned, I am ok with it, as long as she can try to find a dress and I dont have to buy another one!
Look in area resale shops, too. If she'll balk at that, just cut off the tags. I was in a store recently & wished I had somewhere nice to go because they actually had quite a few nice selections. You just have to find the right store.

She would have no problem with that. They have their own facebook page dedicated to exchanging, and selling.
