I've given up on fighting the kids on candy, but I used to fill eggs with Annie's graham bunnies and Target brand Chickadees (which are goldfish crackers shaped like baby chicks).
5 Below is a great place for easter basket fillers-- you can always do crayons, coloring books, jump rope, lip balms. 5 Below has a whole aisle of Frozen merchandise if she's into that.
When I was a kid I got a shitton of candy, got all hopped up on sugar, drove everyone crazy, and then crashed in a lump on the floor in my pretty Easter dress.
Crap! I've been so busy with...life...that I somehow forgot about putting together Easter baskets! How is that even possible??
I have a few things from the dollar bins at Target, will steal a few of these ideas, and add plastic eggs.
I haven't done baskets either. It didn't stop me from rolling in here with advice like an expert.
I have no idea when I'm going to have time this week to buy stuff either, but maybe I can pawn off my kids on Thursday to get it done.
Otherwise their baskets will consist of stolen office supplies, baggies of chocolate chips/whatever I can find in my pantry, and the sidewalk chalk I gave them last week.
