pagas not sure which area you are in but I agree it makes me super paranoid. I guess I'd rather know about the multiple break ins, many on my exact street and block, but ugh I'm very tempted to deactivate. We're in the heights.

I am in-town and there is at least one burglary post every day. Ugh.
Black woman in a courier van stopped at this woman's neighbor's house, went to the door then left. This is apparently an issue since they weren't home so Ms Busybody quick jumped in her car to follow her. She stopped at another house to make a delivery and it didn't look like anyone was home. So the busy body followed her and took down the license plate and reported it to the sheriff under the guise of "better safe than sorry." JFC, like no one has gotten a package delivered when they weren't home. FFS.
DH is trying to talk me out of asking Ms. Busybody if she would have done the same with a young white man? And is definitely trying to keep me from asking for her specific address so I know to tell people to not move near someone who is a straight up bigot.
Yep, I've learned our neighborhood is super boring. Someone only posts on it once every few weeks.
Some examples: 1) Does recycling come on Friday now? 2) Can anyone recommend a contractor/chimney inspector/plumber, etc.? 3) I found a random glove 4) I need to rehome a guinea pig 5) I lost my garbage can (This happens more often than anything. We live on a really windy hill) 6) I found someone's garbage can
And my personal favorite: Someone drove a nice looking black car around the neighborhood about 2mph. It looked like they were casing the place. Anyone know who it belongs to?
LOL.
The suburbs are weird.
This is about how ours is, too (minus the garbage cans, lol). We're in the middle of the city, but most of the posts are pretty mundane.
I'm on ours, and I rarely use it. I skim the daily email digests. The few threads I've read there are similar to what others mentioned -- scared of anyone who happens to be a different color than most of our 'hood. Ugh.
I'm also on our neighborhood moms Facebook page, and there are some definite racial profiling folks, but it somehow seems less scary than all the angry men on Nextdoor.

Our subdivision joined last Dec but it's mainly people bitching about our roads not getting plowed and lost dog postings. I may unsubscribe soon. Nothing juicy is ever posted lol. I want to see some arguments!
