How long after your water broke/leaked did you have your baby? I started gradually leaking about an hour ago, no contractions or anything yet. I'm not 100% it's my water, but I thought I would ask anyway. edit: i have an appointment at 1 today, so i'll have them test it when i get there.
I was induced so my experience was a little different, but I want to say that my water didn't break on its own and they broke it about three hours after they started pitocin and about four hours between I was being wheeled into the emergency room for a csection.

I'm lightly leaking and I'm not having contractions yet.. I have a doctor appointment today at 1 and will have them test it. I didn't test positive for GBS, so i'll stay up till my appointment unless i start having contractions before then.

i would call. My doctor was very clear that when my water broke, go to the hospital. A leak vs a gush just means that the tear is at a spot that your body is keeping it from coming out fast.
My water broke around 2:30 am. It took a while for contractions to start. By 8 am it started to hurt so we headed to the hospital. DS was born at 7:29 pm
For me, contractions didn't feel like I expected and I didn't realize I was having them, all I ever felt was like a really bad period cramp. I never had any pain. If your stomach gets rock hard that is a contraction. My water broke and I felt two small "gushes" that I honestly thought was just having to pee.
Because I didn't realize I was in labour I sat around for 12 hours being grumpy. Then once the hospital told me I started walking around and things sped up, it was less than 12 hours from there, so I vote you at least call a nurses line or the hospital and eat something and move around a bit. If it is your water you have 12 hours before they'll be concerned about no progress but it could be fast from here with some walking.
My water broke at 10 p.m. on a Friday night and I delivered at 10:00 am on Sunday morning. I went to the hospital right away but didn't have any contractions. They sent me home and said if I started to get contractions to come back, but regardless to come back at 8 am the following day. I didn't have any contractions on my own, returned at 8, got a bed and was hooked up to oxytocin by 1pm and then laboured all night to the next morning.

They open in an hour, so I will go ahead and call them and see if they want me to come in earlier.
Jokes on me because last night before going to bed I was telling my husband how only 15% of women actually have their water break before contractions and it probably won't happen to me LOL.
Mone broke with both kids before I had any contractions. With ds it broke about 2 pm and he was born at 2:42 am. Contractions didn't start for a few hours. With dd it broke at 11 pm, contractions started almost immediately and she was born at 5:24 am.

I'd totally call. Congratulations in advance!
My water broke around 3 am the first time, and the dr said to come in to the hospital within a few hrs. Contractions started pretty much right after my water broke. When we got there I was diagnosed with pretty severe pre-e that came out of nowhere (never had a high bp or protein in my urine previously), so it was a good thing we went in early so I could get meds to stabilize my BP.
16.5 hours later. I labored at home 8 hours before going to the hospital but my doctor was fine with that because I was GBS negative. If I'd been positive she wanted me to go in when my water broke to get antibiotics. If your doctor didn't already let you know what to do if your water breaks I'd call and ask (which it sounds like you plan to do). Good luck!

So it has slowed way down.. I am still going to call them and let them know but I will feel so silly if it's not my water.. but it has a pinkish tint, so it was probably my water, right? lol
