I stil haven't heard anything about the dream job I applied for but it's still listed online, which keeps me in good spirits.
However, I met someone that works at a different nonprofit than me, doing the same thing but for slightly more money, it's closer to my home, AND they have late evening hours which would be nice if I wanted a schedule similar to DH's. I really don't want to apply until the possibility of being rejected by the dream job because I honestly don't love the work I do. Also, I feel like an asshole when I say I don't like it.
No. Apply.
Best case scenario you get two interviews. Worst case, you get no call from dream job and you miss out on another opportunity.

I've been having a lot of trouble getting out of bed lately. This morning I decided I would try counting, just to get my mind active. I was counting and got to about 50, and then realized I was still dreaming. Must of been in a lucid state. I was kind of amazed that I was able to count while still thinking/dreaming of other things. Like, part of my brain was awake and counting and I was aware of it, while the other part of my brain was dreaming.
I am dragging this morning. Squish was up from 3:15 to 5:30 this morning. I should have just stayed up, I think, but instead went back to sleep for an hour and 20 minutesish. Now, I just feel exhausted and completely unmotivated to work. It probably doesn't help anything that this is a short week for me...

Also, the office manager just asked the bullpen (6 guys) if any of them have a pair of clean shorts that the bossman can borrow for his annual health check with the nurse. This is making me giggle this morning.
**Disclaimer, when I do this check, I don't bother changing from a dress/heels because it is nothing major other than riding a peddle bike at a low speed for 5 minutes.
I have a big presentation coming up (4/11) and I am half excited and half nervous, so it has been keeping me awake at night. We all need some damn sleep!

I'm sorry, GLW.
We got an email from the President saying we get Friday afternoon off for Good Friday. That means I only have to use 4 vacation hours to celebrate H's birthday with him!
And my boss tells me she's finally going to tell my coworker that I am being promoted and will be her immediate supervisor. Tomorrow's going to be a fun day...
Good luck, sapphire bou. It doesn't sound like your boss is handling this very well. FFS, she's in charge - just make an announcement already!
My finger is healing and it doesn't really hurt much, thankfully. I'm pretty sure I'll have quite the scar, but my hands are such a mess anyway (cuts/burns from cooking) that is doesn't matter.
This is a fun week for me - BFF is in town, so we have plans for oysters tomorrow with another friend, then a big "reunion" dinner Thursday w a bunch of friends who came to the wedding, then I'm off Friday and heading to CT for Easter.
I did a shit ton of meal prep last night and I feel so very prepared. Eating a breakfast bowl (potatoes, eggs, sausage, feta) and in the fridge I have pasta salad for dinner and leftover chicken skillet (chicken, tomatoes, campanelle, BBQ sauce, cheese, green onions) for lunch. Whee!

Thanks! My boss isn't handling it well at all. It's an unfortunate situation, but after today it won't be her problem anymore. I won't put up with as much shit as she does.

My absentee boss told me that personal injury settlements are not taxable! I was operating under the assumption that the govt would be taking half, because apparently I never took the time to google. Woo hoo!!!!!!! <--the one time you will see me use that many exclamation points. lol

Update: Coworker didn't take it too gracefully when my boss told her yesterday. However, my talk with her this morning actually went much better than expected! She's more mad at my boss than at me, so hopefully things will run smoothly in the office. They have so far.
