Other than the grocery store and a couple of restaurants there's not too much in Oakville. We stayed in a B&B there once years ago but it's since closed. If your budget for wine is generous there are some very well-regarded vineyards there -- Silver Oak, Opus One, Cakebread. St. Helena is right up the road and will have more options for food and places to stay.
