I have no advice, other than you need to be looking for a new job. No matter what the outcome of your review is, this is not a company you want to work for. Mom and pop shops sound nice compared to the corporate grind, but this is exactly why I never want to work for another one. Get out now!

Well first, I would bring up that you would like the promised raise to $17/hour since your 90 days is up. And then I would continue to look for a new job.
Don't beat yourself up with the woulda, shoulda, coulda... What's done is done. Don't focus on how you got into the situation, let's focus on getting out of it!
So, it's time to say you were hired to do the admin job at $17/hr, and now that your trial period is over, you should be paid that. (Side note, part of me says eff that and to say you like like to be upped to $20/hr to bc of the increase in duties).
And then, start looking elsewhere. When it comes time to address it, "it was a small company and there were some misunderstandings as to scope of positions and responsibilities." Meh... I don't like that really. But something should come to someone.
Well, if it's your job to shop around for benefits, get on that now! At least you could get benefits. DH is the HR manager where he is. They had no benefits because he was the one who had to build that part of the company. I think we had benefits within a month. (Of course, he had contacts from doing this at his last job.) But we had been getting a bonus so we could pay for our own health costs for that month or so. Okay... so, do you want to quit or do you want them to remedy the situation?
Do you want to be doing HR duties or not?
I don't have a problem doing the HR duties, because the rest of the job is varied. If the pay wasn't an issue I would be happy because I'd still be expanding my skill set beyond HR. I should have the health benefits rolling out in July.
Honestly, if I could remedy the situation I would. If only because I spent a while working part time or not working at all when DD was really little. I'd like to stay at this (my second job since I went back to work full time) for at least a year. I don't want my resume to look spotty.
I agree with others to focus on the pay and then devote yourself to getting out.
You aren't an idiot, so don't beat yourself up about the situation! You'll now handle your next employment situation differently and that's a good learning.
