I don't know about your specific incident, but I've gone to urgent care the day after an accident (didn't have a PCP at the time). You tend to be more sore the day after an accident
ETA: Ok, just read the OP and saw that you've had spine surgery. Call your PCP or neuro first thing if you're having issues. They'll tell you what to do from there. I don't know the extent of your surgery, but my stbxh had spine surgery also, so I've had limited experience based on that

I had a disc bulge removed a few years ago. I'm feeling lots of nerve action tonight, but not acute pain, no obvious injury. Ugh. I hate this. I think I'm going to go to bed early just so that I can wake up sooner and know how I'll feel.

Stbxh had a spinal fusion. I'm sorry you're going through this! Hopefully, you'll feel better in the morning! Do you have any meds you can take tonight to help with the nerve pain?

I'm in line for fusion in a few years. How is your h doing?
i have Advil. I've been pain-free for so long that I got rid of all my meds

I would go in and see your doctor, especially given your history. If that nerve action turns out to be something that requires Rx, PT, etc, having documented the change in your status immediately after the accident can be good for insurance purposes.

He didn't do so well, but I know plenty of other people who had the same surgery who were soooo much better afterwards! Take some Advil tonight and just see how you feel in the morning. Stbxh's doc basically said it would take someone hitting him in the back with a baseball bat to damage the work they did.
I would call your PCP first thing in the morning, regardless of whether or not you're in pain. If you're not feeling 100% normal tonight, then SOMETHING got aggravated. You need to have that documented, in case those nerve feelings take a week or more to turn into pain. If it's not documented, the insurance co could fight nasty and say it was from something else...even blame it on your kids/being a mom. Don't give them that opening. Their insurance co will pay for the visit, so as long as getting to an office isn't a big deal, there's no reason not to go.
I'm sorry you have to mess with this. I hope your back is feeling good in the AM & you get good news about the car!
