Thanks dojo. The appt was yesterday. They drew blood and did a quick exam plus took a swab to rule out an infection. I should have the results of both of those later today and then I go back tomorrow for another blood draw. The dr felt like a sono wouldn't be very telling since I'm still a bit early (6 weeks 4 days yesterday) and felt the betas would be more indicative.
I'm just now wondering, do betas still double at this stage? I've never had them before so I don't really know what to expect.

I'm not sure but I think if you're seeing any increase in betas that's a good sign. Maybe that's what she's looking for? Has the spotting stopped or slowed? Hoping for good results for you today!
A sono at 6 weeks 4 days would show you a heartbeat. I wish she would have just checked with the vag cam. Ugh. I have no idea about beta's though
I was thinking about you last night and went back through my charts for Anna and Sam and with Anna I had brown spotting at 7 weeks and noted that I called the OB and they said that was old blood and not to worry. I know you said that you have brown blood before. If you don't mind me asking, how far along were you when you had the blood?
You are not being punished at all. Please don't think that. You had a very normal reaction to a surprise. One of the biggest surprises that I can think of. Don't even think that for a minute.
I was around the same stage when I had the brown spotting before. I havent had any since yesterday which could be a good sign I guess. I'm also so, so sick. I feel very pregnant.
I did have early sonos with the other miscarriages and they showed a heartbeat, albeit slow...I had to go back in a week anyway to see if it changed. The waiting game is a killer through all of this!! I'm just trying to stay positive, there really is no reason not to!

It's stopped from what I can tell. She did say that she saw the brown blood during the exam but no pink or red. And she said she didn't see much of it. Thank you

Thanks for checking in ladies!
I got a call from the nurse late this afternoon. She said that my HCG levels were consistent with that of a pregnancy between 7-9 weeks (I'm 6w5d) and my progesterone level was 15.1. She said that everything is "very reassuring". I go back tomorrow morning at 8 for another draw. I'm cautiously relieved for now.
