I have absolutely no idea what people gave my son for his birthday. I was too busy trying to keep the ice cream off the oriental. Congrats on getting a thank you note. I would say nothing.
When DD1 turned 1, we had a huge crazy party. I very carefully repacked the gifts in with the cards after we opened so I could keep track for TY notes. Imagine my horror a few days later when our housekeeper came and "helped" by pulling all the gifts out of the packaging, hanging up the clothes in the closet, and neatly folding the gift bags up and stacking them. OMG I tried to come up with TY notes but I had no idea what gifts were from who. So each card was like "thank you for the lovely gift! So nice to see you!" Lol

I once got a thank you note that said "Thank you for coming. Birthday girl was so excited about her presents that she unwrapped them all while we were unloading the car. I'm so sorry that I don't know which gift was yours. I assure you that she loved EVERYTHING she received."
I was so impressed that she even sent a thank you note in that situation. So, no, don't correct her.
Oh God, and now I feel even worse that my thank you notes for DS are a week behind due to GI bug making the family rounds and I'm not 1000% certain on what gifts went with what attendees!

I got one like this too! bday girl unwrapped everything on the drive home in the back of the suburban. Parents had no idea what was going on back there. It was cute.
How close are you with the mom? I got a thank you for a party my ds attended that thanked him for two different gifts. Apparently one extra thing (a gift card) fell into the gift bag from ds. I did mention it to the mom, because I know she'd be mortified for not sending a thank you to the person who gave the gift that fell into our bag. I am very close with that mom though and she was glad to know.

I just got a text from a good friend. I mailed her another's friend's thank you note from my baby shower. I think I copied and pasted this friend's address twice, so I think she has the correct TY card coming to her too. It's a good enough friend that I'm not embarrassed. Thank Christ.
