I've been wanting to start a blog for awhile now. I enjoy writing and the creativity. However, I'm not sure what to write about.
I enjoy cooking, but don't do much of it these days. I could focus on cooking for one. Women in archery. Probably a limited audience, but I'm only finding one blog like this out there. Being single in your 30's. I love my 30's, I could probably preach on this. Orange cats. I do feel like having two of them makes me an expert and they provide me with plenty of antics.
Other ideas? What would you want to read about? Or, are blogs over and done with?

I have two blogs right now. I hate to write so it forces me to step outside my comfort zone. One blog is my fun one- its cats, makeup, beauty and nail polish. The other is my travel blog- a mix of places I've been and local stuff. Neither has many followers yet but I'm not doing it for fame and glory
If the writing is good, I still like reading blogs but I don't follow any religiously. I just have a few I poke my head in on from time to time.
Honestly, I wouldn't want to tie myself down to one particular topic. I would get bored after a while and stop posting. If I were you, I'd use it for random musings and if it starts to veer in one solid direction that you like, that's when you put a tag on it.
Exactly this! My blog started as an update to family & friends when my husband was sick, then it morphed into being a new widow, then it focused on my kids and pets, and now it's pretty much any random thought that I want to share, recipes included. I've really slacked off though. Having the kids start objecting to my blogging about them put a crimp in my style. Losers. Make it a little of everything!
I was also hoping to start putting a dating spin on my blog, but alas, I have to actual have dates to do that.
You should start your blog with your trip to Boston!
If I live in your town (I believe it's a small-ish town), I would be interested in dating as well as archery. I think blogs are successful when your heart is into it, and it's what you're passionate about.
I prefer blogs that are limited to certain subject matter. I have two, one on climbing the 46 Adirondack high peaks, and one on home improvements. I only post when I have something on-topic to say.
