And my day started off great, being that we had time for a quickie and it's the first day of spring break.
Until we came downstairs and found my laptop charger cord ripped out of the wall and completely chewed through. Damn fucking puppy could have killed himself. Thankfully he's not killed himself.
Thankfully I'm also a former packrat and had my old laptop charger that technically works. A new charger that is the same one as the one that was chewed is in stock at Amazon but wouldn't get here til Monday or Tuesday at the earliest, and that's with the two day shipping. Not sure if I want to order it or use the older one.
H know recognizes the fact that he can no longer leave puppy out when he leaves the room....which I had been saying since the night we got him.
Oh no, grover! My mom's girl dog liked to chew laptop cords and the like when she was a pup.
I'm off today and woke up to no power. I was pissed! Thankfully it was only out for 3 hours total. It's still pouring rain so I don't know if I will get to run all of the errands I want to accomplish.
I did go to CVS last night. $90 of stuff for $35, plus $5 extra bucks. *pats self on back*
I ended up leaving work early last night. I woke up feeling better so we are on our way to the finger lakes to have a day of wine tastings. I'm going to take it easy though.
I hope everyone's Fridays get better! Mine included.
I slept about 3, 3.5 hours. I went to bed just before midnight. DH was flying back from his business trip, and he was supposed to land at about 1:30a locally, then a 1.5 hr drive home. I woke up about 3:30ish to pee, and checked his flight status, and he had landed about 2 hours prior. So then I was just waiting for him to walk in the door, which was about 4a. Then I never really got back to sleep, just dozed until my alarm went off at 5:15a.
So I went to Starbucks to splurge on good coffee and to hit my max caffeine allowance. I got to work a little early, and dropped my full cup on the ground as I was trying to wrangle my bags. I literally started crying right there in the parking lot. Then I went back to Starbucks for a new one.
grover I've been warning DH that our new puppy has a thing for shoes....and sure enough, he got a tiny hole in my favorite pair of leopard flats. So, we've been having to try to keep them out of harm's way.
My boss is out today. Hoping everything goes smoothly so I can get out of here at a decent hour. Driving to the home state to bring Dad some wine and pre-party before his surgery. I'll also get to see my baby brother, his wife, and their baby tomorrow.
pooh8402 - Oh, no! I hope your second cup of coffee was delicious. grover - If your old cord works, I probably wouldn't bother ordering a new one. Aren't all laptop cords designed pretty much the same way? @emtmissy - Glad to hear you're feeling better! Stomach bugs are no fun at all.
I hope everyone's day gets better. It can only go up from here right?
My BIL and his wife and kids are coming into town for Easter weekend. MIL invited H and I over for dinner with them tonight. I have anxiety just thinking about it. I know it will be a night of underhanded comments by SIL and MIL trying to do everything possible to make SIL happy and spend time with her grandkids. All while I sit back and watch...if only there was wine.

I hope everyone's days get better!
Not much going on around here. Working from home today. Our big boss man said we could have off at 1 for Good Friday, but of course I have a meeting from 2-3 that is as of yet not cancelled. I guess 3 is still better than nothing though!
Rough morning here too. E doesn't seem to be feeling good and he's been screaming half the morning. H asked if the formula was too cold and I just said "I don't know, I never know why he's screaming!" and just started crying. I know this isn't really the place to complain but I'm stressed and exhausted and just want to take a week vacation by myself
estrellita Sorry to hear you're struggling. I think you're doing a great job. Hang in there.
H was a grumpy gus this morning because some Jehovah's Witnesses came by at 8 and rang the doorbell, and he was trying to sleep in lol. I didn't open the door because that would mean wrangling the dog into her crate, which isn't worth it most of the time.
estrellita Hugs! I thought 6 to 7 weeks was the toughest. DS was unhappy for no apparent reason. (Spoiler alert: he still screams for no reason, lol. We just get better every day about not freaking out so much when he does.)
I finally called about my lost sports bras after H had no success contacting the company by email. Customer service tried to tell me they were in transit. No. They have been at a Fed Ex location since last Tuesday. Customer service then told me I could put in a trace with Fed Ex for a lost package. NOPE. This is not MY problem. I'm not lifting a finger so how about you just reship me the items that I ordered and paid for? Supposedly they are reshipping them today. And if anyone wants to know, it's Brooks Running. And this is the second time we've had this exact issue when ordering from them. It's ridiculous that a company operates like this.

jjwritergirl - Unfortunately not. It's scheduled with people higher up than the boss that gave us off, so I still need to be there. 3pm is not bad though!
Thanks for the hugs.. I need them today! Went to my doctor's appointment today where they removed some tissue that was kinda sticking out funny. Ouch. Then went to Target to get some things and pick up my prescriptions. Turns out they sent them to the other Target across town (only like 5 miles or so away, but with the traffic today and lights, probably takes at least a half hour depending on which roads I take). So they had to reprocess them if I didn't want to go across town (I was already on that side of town earlier, and I live on the side I was on at the time). But wait, they were all going on lunch and I would have to come back in 45 minutes! Seriously! So I put my stuff in the car and ended up eating lunch at the food court. I was going to bring H lunch on my way home (he's home sick) but I guess that wasn't happening. Then I was dealing with horrible drivers on the way back. I realized it's probably spring break for the kids this week so that would explain why the mall/roads were so busy. Ugh. I just want to curl up in a ball. One of my prescriptions was an AD so I'm hoping that starts helping my mood soon. I hate feeling this way and just want to be happy like I feel I should be!
Anyways, sorry for venting here, I just needed to get it out. I'm looking forward to this spending time with family this weekend! I need it!
My c-section was officially scheduled with the hospital. 2nd choice hospital (for location only, still good facility) but 1st choice date. I'll take it!
Going to a surprise bday party tonight. Should be fun!

For when?
4/20!
My bday is 3/20 and our anniversary is 5/20. So it's a nice fit. If you want to get crazy, DD is 5/5/10, which 5+5+10=20.
