I slept two hours on the sofa yesterday evening, woke up enough to feed the cats, scoop litter, and cuddle the kid before bed. Then I slept 10:30pm to 8:30am.
I baked two types of cookies yesterday, chocolate chip and oatmeal chocolate chip. I finished making the second batch while I was baking the first batch. I could only put one cookie sheet in the oven at a time so I was baking for at least 3 hours.
My foster is the sweetest ever, but TBH her draining incision grosses me out.
I was thinking about that when I saw the pictures you posted. "that had to be gross"
How long for her (him?) to heal?
She! She'll get her stitches out a week from Monday, so hopefully it'll stop draining by then. Walking around with a towel after her blotting it off and using a warm compress on it helps. I have to keep her gated off in the bathroom, otherwise she'll just keep walking around, which keeps it oozing. Poor girl, she's all ready to get moving on with her life.

aw. She looks like she's doing really well, considering.

Oh yeah she totally is - I think if she could, she'd be out of the gate moving around every where. I think the drugs help sedate her a little bit though and she is on a LOT of drugs.

I hope she's on the very best drugs they give dogs, lol. She deserves it.

I know it's so crazy, they took all the bone and muscle and everything right out of the socket. When we were leaving, one of the vet tech's who is in love with her was crying and ran out after us (I had NO idea) and asked if it was okay if she said goodbye and asked if she could call me for updates. She was going to put in her application for her today she said. So she may already have a pending home if that works out!
This is a funny - she kind of snapped at Buddy earlier and he ran away and hid behind my bed. And ever since she's been trying to lick his face and he's afraid she's going to snap again. Poor guy.
doglove, I totally got teary eyed at the pics of that sweet doggie girl on FB. I am so glad there are people like you and the vet tech in the world. I hope she heals up quickly!
