Ok, so how do you want to do Make-up Challenges? Pick one a week and then post in FOTD?
List your ideas!
Some of the old ones we've had that we can do again: Winged Liner Red Lip Smokey Eye Different blush every day Blue Eyeshadow Nude Lip Natural face Pick a palette Pinspiration
how about a "stuff I never ever use" challenge? I feel like I have all this stuff I don't use, not because I don't like it, but because, well... I dunno... I get complacent...
Eyeshadow singles (vs. palettes)
I love the thought of before and after faces, which was raised earlier, but I know some people might not like it. I'd even love to see a few step-by-step faces. But I'm a freak.
not-red-or-pink lipstick (oranges, purples, etc)
I'm planning a trip to Vegas, so I'd love to see Vegas-by-day and Vegas-by-night faces, but that's just me.
I'd also love to see makeups tied to clothing colors... so, let's say people are wearing green or purple or orange or pink or whatever, what kind of makeup would you wear to compliment those colors?
I'm really really wanting to see everyone's spring 2015 look because I'm not yet finding a lot in the googles or YouTube. And I'm all about embracing spring right now.
I loved when I did a step by step one time. It helped me really see what each of the products did for my face. We should definitely do at least before/after, but steps would be great too.
(And my flickr has an embarrassing number of selfies, but I sort of love being able to flip through all the different make-up looks and hair changes!)
I posted the rainbow idea in the randoms thread. I am too lazy to find and paste here.
Other ideas -
use products in unintended ways. Blush as eyeshadow. Highlighter as blush. Etc.
One brand. Use only one brand (or as much as you can).
I think step by step is hard. That's a lot of selfies at each step. Selfies in bathroom lighting, so they will suck. Plus loading them all into a post? Then reading them all?Let's be real, the only one we will all look at is @smorriso's when she starts the thread before getting distracted.
I think people who want to post step by step photos should do so, and maybe just start a new thread for it. That makes it easier to ask questions about the steps.
I think multiple looks from one palette would be a good one -- a few people mentioned in the palette thread that that they switch up palettes and try to use a different one for a week or so. So, a couple of ways to do that might be: one week of looks from one palette; or maybe different types of shadow styles (natural eye, smoky eye, single shadow, cut crease, etc.) all from one palette.

How about layering colors? With eyes that's kind of a given, but I think there are some interesting possibilities with lips and cheeks. I know people have talked about how layering a certain gloss over a lipstick can give a different effect and I would think the same could be done with blush.
