What is it about a sinus infection that makes a person dumb?
I almost forgot my glasses. I almost brought a fork to work for soup. I almost forgot to feed the cats. I didn't even check to make sure I had my badge. Yesterday I forgot how to spell a name of a nearby town and how to calculate a slope percent.
If I say anything stupid today, I apologize in advance.
The president of our company might be here in our office today. We were warned about this yesterday afternoon and I completely forgot. So, instead of wearing dress pants or a skirt, I am in jeans and sneakers. At least the shirt I am wearing is a nice shirt.
I asked my boss if I should go home and change and she told me, "Nah, just wing it".
I feel unpleasant today...hot, sticky, sweaty, bored with work and TV and school and life in general. I really need to stop spending money, but all I want to do is start new projects.
I'm planning a terrarium centerpiece for our coffee table, but I should really be focused on the aquarium project I've already started.
I have big plans for some up-cycled outdoor pallet furniture, but that really needs to wait until my weekends are free.
There's an old desk out in the garage that I want to turn into a potting bench, but I need to declutter/clean the garage first.
I want so badly to get rid of clothes that no longer fit, but at the same time I can't let go of the idea that I will one day be back at my lowest weight. So my closet is still a disaster.
Partially sunny. I feel you on the stupidity. The pollen count here today is in the 6,000s. If I forget my allergy meds I am a zombie. All I can think of is how bad my head hurts.

I'm going to a Gopher game on Saturday! Let's hope the rain has stopped by then.
Back is somewhat better. I'm at work today, at least. There are some major things that are about to go down around here, and I want to use the opportunity to revamp my job description and see if I can make my position into something I actually like. Kind of doubt it will happen, but there's no reason I can't try it. We will potentially add over 1,000 employees this year. Right now we have 1,500. It will be fucking crazy. So, cross fingers I get a new job soon, or my job becomes slightly more tolerable.
I have nothing to bitch about today. Well, I could bitch about the pollen but that's already been covered. It's beautiful outside. My client has successfully completed their first payroll (did anyone thank me, no but whatever) and work is pretty quiet. I went shopping yesterday and got a cute new maxi dress at Old Navy. One of my favorite festivals is this weekend. Life is pretty good.
OMG, I have been such a klutz this week! Last weekend, I was cleaning our Brita pitcher and broke one of the parts for it. I had to order another one online.
Then, a few days ago, I was unloading the dishwasher, and one of the plates chipped.
And today, I was washing the cats' water fountain, set the base of it by the sink, and it just tumbled and fell into the sink and broke! WTF?

I forgot my train ticket this morning. $18 to get into the City (because I had to buy a peak ticket on the train) + $10 for a new metrocard + $8.75 to get home on the train. Not to mention 40 minutes on the train, 10 minutes on the subway, 15 minute walk. All for a 20 minute non stress test. Repeat twice a week until this child is born.

that's brutal
You're already racking up the "after all I've done for you" points with this kid.
Well, I'm not on the street corner if that's what you mean.
I thought of a bitchy thing: I've been calling a restaurant almost daily to get a receipt for reimbursement and I am either put on hold foreeeever only to be told "The manager is busy, he'll call you back" or get a busy signal. And the manager hasn't called me back. Supposedly this place has great food--I've never been, but it is unlikely that I will go now.
