So far today, I've found mouse poop in my kitchen and received a panicky phone call from our special snowflake, and it looks like it's going to rain on the cookout I am supposed to go to tonight. I want to go back to bed.

chalupa, sending good interview and job offer vibes your way!
I cannot freaking concentrate today and I have so much work to do! Buyer is using a grant program so REA is trying to make sure everything is good before I sign the contract. Gah! The anticipation is killing me!

chalupa, Good Luck on the interview! And I agree with you, I would probably over dress for the interview as well. I notice that it seems to help my confidence.
I forgot my rings this morning and it is driving me nuts that I don't have them on. Sigh. Found hair ties that I love at Target. They actually stay in my hair! Must buy more!

What's a grant program?
There are all different ones. I used one for first time homebuyers where I got a 4:1 match on my dollar. They gave me $7500 to buy a house. She is using a city grant program where you get $3k if you are buying in the city, and you are a first time homebuyer.
You basically apply, have to fulfill the criteria and attend a homebuyers class.

I started looking for apartments last week. There's not a whole lot available in my little town, so I'm hoping that if I start early something will pop up. But I may have to seriously consider moving out of ds' s current school district. He's not going to be happy about that...

Me too! I am hoping that once school is out there will be more places available. But I'm prepared to put a good deposit on something now if I find one. :-)
He's going to call the sellers agent and see what they want to do. I feel frustrated. Not to mention the stupidly large tax bill I paid today. I just want to say F it to yoga, buy some pizza and a slice of coconut cake.

I have been so busy the past couple days trying to wrap things up neatly before I leave on my trip! And busy season starts when I get back, so I really want to be in a good place when we leave.
Hopefully you will be able to work something out. The good news is, the sellers now know what their house is worth. They may be willing to go a little lower with the purchase price.
I'm starting to type up a presentation of what exactly the HR department does in my company....because the "corporate" HR team has no idea. We are their employees and they have no idea. The VP of HR asked me to give a talk on it because she doesn't know either. Ironically, she will not be at the meeting where the presentation will take place, she'll be out of town.
I have three pages of straight text so far. We'll see how this mess can translate into a short presentation.
