We need new faucets in all of the bathrooms at the new house. For now, I need something inexpensive, but I don't want to have a leaky faucet in a year. Where do you find good deals on faucets? (I have a 10% Lowe's coupon & a card there, so an extra 5% off! but didn't know if I could get better elsewhere.)
I'm just looking for simple brushed nickel ones, nothing fancy.
Do you live anywhere near a Menard's? That's where my kitchen and downstairs bath ones came from and they've been fine. Middle range name brand (Kohler/Delta...one of those).
Whatever you do..do not get the house brand Tuscany or whatever. Terrible. Terrible. Terrible.

Yes, we have a huge Menard's in town. (Actually 2...gotta love the Midwest!) They're having their 11% rebate sale right now, too.
lmdbww, I'll check out that link & ebay, too. Thanks!
You have to really watch out for faucets at Lowes and the like having plastic parts. That is usually the culprit for the short lifespan.
We bought from Overstock and Amazon when we replaced/remodeled. I had a lot of time to compare prices and online stores and wound up there. Sometimes the same vendor has a better deal on Amazon than in their own store...sometimes not.

I've heard of that. Then someone told me it doesn't really matter.
I will check both of those places, too. We don't NEED to do them right away. They're functional, just ugly.
FWIW, my plumber, who is absolutely awesome, feels strongly that Delta faucets are superior to the similarly priced mid-range brands (Kohler, Pfister, Moen, etc.). He says they break less often and are easier to fix. He can live with Kohler, but really, really hates Moen. I have no idea if he is right, but he is very convincing .
I have bought faucets at Lowes, a local kitchen and bath place, and on Amazon.
We went with Danze since it's considered a good brand for the money. I would avoid HD and Lowe's because of what PP mentioned. A lot of the big companies will produce versions of their products for them that aren't up to their usual standards and contain plastic parts. I read a lot about it over on GardenWeb when we were renovating our kitchen.
