And, I have wedding outfits. I have a casual wedding outfit, a fancy wedding outfit, a daytime wedding outfit. I do not have a campground wedding that includes flats in case I have to stand outfit.
Does their invitation say "join us at the KOA, site 43, as we exchange our vows"?
It's a campground. I doubt it will be dressy at all.
I'd still be mad if I didn't get a chair. What if it's hot?

lol at all the "people didn't mind standing at my wedding". Yes, yes they did. No, they aren't going to say to your face, but they thought it was tacky and will forever remember your wedding b/c of it.

Seriously? This chick needs to get her head out of her ass and remember these are her guests. Does she plan on even letting them know that they might have to stand?
A shortage of chairs because of a mistake is totally harmless, I wouldn't even raise an eyebrow, but to actually plan to be shitty to your guests? Ridic.
I'm willing to wager that her guests are not the type to be accustomed to 5 star weddings at the Ritz Carlton so I bet they will be glad there are even ANY chairs there.
If I were in her shoes I'd wrassle up some hay bales to sit on. It would fit in quite nicely at her venue I'm sure.
no chairs at our wedding. except for the old folk.
is this the new vow-b-que?
I didn't have chairs at my wedding. It was on the beach, there were 25 people in attendance and the ceremony was literally 8 minutes long. No need in my book.
If you couldn't have enough chairs due to the space or camp ground, fine (which is what she tries to make it sound like at first) but the reality is the FIL doesn't want to pay for more and neither do she or her groom.
Yes, that would work too. Stick some tulle on those puppies and they are good. to go.
WALLAH.
eta: I think this is actually kind of cute for an outdoor wedding.
Buuuuuuut....I have a feeling it wouldn't end up like this.
I think that's alright (better than no place to sit at all) because it looks like it was done on purpose. They covered the bales and made it part of the decor and it fits with the theme of the wedding (I assume, I see girls in cowboy boots). I'm pretty sure Ms. DEB dress would not take that step.
Plus, I think it's physically impossible to dress up a campground.

In the context of your beach wedding, it makes total sense for the location and number of guests, and to me that would actually be lovely.
My beef is the fact that she doesn't care if her guests are comfortable. Her not having chairs wasn't by choice, it was by lack of caring.

Last summer I went to a wedding at a ranch, we brought our camper! They had seating like this. They had a live band and a d-j under this huge tent with lights everywhere. The food was phenomenal. We brought our dog. We stood at the ceremony. The part went on for 3 days. Best fucking wedding ever, hands down. Buuuuuuut....I have a feeling it wouldn't end up like this.

It could be a really pretty campground!
I really like the hay bales in that picture. I also like well done barn weddings. Hay bales and the like just depend on how it's pulled off and communicated to guests. Guests need to know they're going to sit on a hay bale with a quilt on top.

Mine was the same. We only had chairs for the grandparents. The ceremony was 15 min long and we walked over to the reception. We had got a license to have the ceremony at a very special stretch of beach and they did not allow more than 20 chairs. We also had a "shoe valet". All of my friends knew ahead of time.
