I stopped in the bathroom before leaving work yesterday to pee, and was quite scared and surprised to see bright red blood. I called my dr, but because it was late, I wouldn't be able to make it to any of their offices in time, so they sent me to l&d triage at the hospital. When we stopped at home before going to the hospital there was more blood, but it seemed to be stopping at least. After a few hours at the hospital all hooked up to monitors, everything is fine. They don't know what caused the bleeding, but boy was that scary!

How far along are you? Do you have placenta previa? Did they tell you what caused the bleeding?

Thanks everyone! It was definitely scary, and I feel bad for the lady in the work bathroom trying to ask me questions about a problem she was having while I was trying not to panic, but oh well. Everything seems fine now, and I'm enjoying the work from home day.

I'm 23 weeks today. Haven't had any spotting except for a tiny bit one day back around 7 weeks, so it was quite the nasty surprise. I don't have placenta previa, they double-checked yesterday. They aren't sure what caused it, maybe the little bit of running I did the afternoon before, but since everything checked out perfectly, after a few days rest I can go back to doing everything as normal.
