What funds/class do your 401k/IRA contributions go into?

This is our asset allocation for our retirement accts:

40% US Large Cap
20% US Small Cap
20% International Large Cap
15% International Small Cap/Emerging Markets
5% Real Estate

We aim to use index funds whenever possible within these classes.

What's going on in the market???

We've got money sitting and waiting to make some decisions.

We've done so well with S&P's like IVW, but I want to branch out. We re-balanced last year with more small/mid caps and did okay.

Purchases I'm thinking of now and want to run past H and discuss further are IWB, SPYV, XLE.

We are also looking at moving some money into Vanguard Admiral Funds but I haven't done my research yet on our options.

I'm excited to hear this.  We have about a little over $25k being invested today between IRA deposits and our general investment account.

I recently simplified mine when some of my investment choices changed in my work account.

Across all of my accounts, I have
55% in an S&P 500 index fund
15% in a US Small Cap index fund
30% in a non-US index fund.

Everything's in Admiral or Institutional class shares from Vanguard, either held by them directly or held by my 403b administrator. I felt like I was spending way too much time worrying about all of it and splitting it into a bunch of funds, and I was tired of fooling with it.

I don't have any extra to invest right now, so it just goes in on a regular schedule.

Thx Pom, bookmarking to read later. It's true, my sector funds are interesting. Energy has been down, overall about 6 or 7%, but my healthcare one is up almost 20% over years.

I actually dumped about 4500 into several sector funds today.

We got our buys in today too.

Sweet - the ones you referenced above? IWB, SPYV, XLE?

I put an equal amount into SPY as well.  We'll see what happens!

We bought some RIG to balance out our position.
XLE, IWB.
We decided we were already heavy enough in SPY.
SCHM, SCHA were our mid and small cap buys.
