Any suggestions for good nursing bras? I was a 36DDD before my milk came in, so I'm not sure what I am now. All I have right now is two bravado nursing tanks, which works fine for when I'm around the house. But when I try to put on clothes, I have uniboob.
Once I go back to work, I'm going to get my Chantelle bras turned into nursing bras at Nordstrom. But in the meantime, I don't want to shell out on nice ones just yet.
I waited until I was confident that I wouldn't get clogged ducts and then switched over to an underwire one like this one. It was the only way to have any sort of support. I am a 34GG/H.

Be extra sure. I can't even wear regular non-underwire bras very well. Everything gives me plugged ducts.
I have Godess brand Keira bras which are comfortable and supportive, though they have a seam so not super flattering with everything.

I think I waited a few months before trying the underwire bras and I was lucky to not have to deal with plugged ducts. I realize that isn't the case for everyone, and I was still definitely nervous about it when I first started wearing the underwire.

One my supply settled in could wear some Anita underwire nursing bras. They come in big sizes and the wires are set really far back on your side boob area.

I wear the Medela seamless underwire bras (38f here). I spent a lot of frustrating hours being fitted and none of the pricier ones in my sizes did a better job at fit for me to justify the cost. I actually just bought a new one on amazon and saw some sizes as low as $20. Usually its $35ish for me. The cups have some stretch which is really nice when your breast size is still fluctuating a lot hour to hour.
Do you have a Soma near you? They carry nursing bras in store and have a couple different styles. You could also order online. They runs good sales too, so you can get a couple for a decent price.

I have a size 32J, so I know busty, lol.
I LOVE my Anita bras. I think some people are just more prone to plugged ducts. I've been lucky to only experience it once in eight months of BF.
For non-underwire, Bravado is ok. But there's really nothing like underwire for my 36Hs!
And hey, congrats on the baby centralsquare! Welcome to MMM! <)
I really like my Bravado Essential Embrace bras. I have 3 of them in size 38 J/K, I believe. I was very skeptical because they aren't under wires. I was convinced I'd have uniboob, but no. I do wear a snug fitting nursing tank over the bra for a little extra support.
I liked my Elomi underwire bra, but have gained weight and it's no longer comfortable. (I bought it when I was about 10 weeks post partum).
It was very difficult to find nursing bras at my size. My best advice is to get fitted and then order bras from Nordstrom. They have amazing customer service and even allowed me to return a bra after washing & wearing it for 3 hours.
Go to Nordstrom. They sell nursing bras so no need to have them turn regular bras into nursing ones. I'm a 34G now but was a 34H when I was nursing/pumping many times a day. They have all the sizes and will make sure it's a good fit. I always wore under wire and have never had a clogged duct so I think it's just some people are more prone to getting them than others.

I'll second/third the suggestion of the Anita under wires. I'm a 34 E/F and the stretchy cups are supportive & make you look like you have 2 boobs vs the one that most nursing bras give you.

Hey y'all, I finally WEEKS LATER got two new bras. Thank god. I'm a cup size bigger than I'd been wearing, which could account for the plugged ducts every time I wore a non nursing bra.
I tried on a few Anita, but they set my boobs way too far apart. It was bizarre! Instead, I found two by Cake that I bought; one is an every day seamless t-shirt type bra. The other is a lace bra more like my "regular" bras, pre-pregnancy.
I look and feel SO MUCH BETTER. If you haven't bought bras yet, go now!
