I got LP shifts and swimsuits for Finley during the amazing Neiman Marcus sale for less than the Target prices. that sale was the best.
That's the bizarre thing about these collabs. Oftentimes, people will pay more on Ebay for a Target version than they would for the regular stuff.
I mean, I like this collection and think it's worth the Target prices but I'm not spending more than that.
It's so crazy. I got shifts from Neiman Marcus for $23 each, free shipping and whatever ebates % at the time. The last Lilly dress I got for myself from Neimans was $53. And I didn't have to battle anyone for it or deal with a crashing website. I don't get the collaboration madness at all. There is sale stuff right now that is nearly as cheap as the Target stuff.

I didn't have any luck online, ran into a million glitches.
Anyway, 2 of my friends and I went to our store at 7:30(opens at 8). We were about how 20th in line and by the time the store opened there were hundreds in line. Two if us went right to the home stuff. We got there first and were able to grab everything we wanted. There were only 1 or 2 of some items, not more than 5 of any one thing. I got the patio umbrella which I was psyched about.
My other friend went right to the girls clothes and was able to get most of what she wanted. By the time we got to the women's section there wasn't one thing left. I'd say everything sold out within 5 minutes. Pure insanity.

I know it's not everyone's thing, but also vintage stores/upscale consignment store have LP routinely for under Target prices.
Tl /Dr but Um I would assume that Kristin Davis can afford the real Lily stuff.
The retailer where I work will time celebrity/media influencer tweets with new product launches and commercials. Some of the celebs are Bravo-level, but they generate a lot of traffic and retweets.
I assumed she was a paid celebrity tweeter, until I realized she was tweeting a complaint about the website crashing.

Cheaper, AND environmentally friendly. Winning!
All the Saks LP kid's dresses are 30% off, making them about the same price as the Target stuff when you add in the 8% ebates. And you don't have to go into a Target or deal with a crashing website. But the hype and madness and OMG LP for Target insanity is in full swing. Don't get it at all.

I bought DD the giraffe tank top and that was it. She's not a big flowery person anyway, but by the time I got online everything was gone. It's just absurd. I'm going to have my mom check her store for toddler dresses since I doubt Canton MI is big on LP, but who knows.
I didn't think anything could be worse than the Missoni chaos, but I guess I was wrong. Everything online is gone.

Well I got a pair of flip flops lol.
Apparently our store didn't open early for this. It opened at 9. So when I looked online at 9 and saw everything was still in stock, it just hadn't been purchased yet! There were still a ton of kids' clothes, but everything else was completely picked over. Damn college in town. Every single person I saw shopping it was a college girl.

I totally get everyone saying to skip the collaborations and find stuff on sale elsewhere. But the thing is, for those of us who are plus size and like these designers who don't normally carry plus size, these collaborations are our only chance to get something from them. So it's disappointing when it doesn't work out, and although I don't like the whole eBay mindset either, I have to be honest. I probably will purchase something on eBay that I wanted if it's in my size and not ridiculously expensive. It's not always so easy to just go to a department store and find something on sale depending on your size.
It is a shame because her stuff is absolutely my style. If it was a normal stock thing I would have bought several pieces. But I am lazy so I didn't even try.

I just got home from going Target and came home with nothing. All I wanted was the white cover up. Women had carts full of stuff. It was crazy. Like they just grabbed everything they could get their hands on. I honestly didn't think it would be so bad in my area.
DP works at Target. She was nearly trampled and said women were grabbing whatever they could regardless of size. The fitting rooms were packed for over an hour.

I was reading some Tweets this morning and Tom + Lorenzo said at this point you can buy a real Lilly Pulitzer for less than the scalpers are listing on eBay. Good point! LOL.

Our target was way busier than I expected. Who knew that Colorado had so many Lilly fans. The kids and I got there a few minutes before they opened and there was already a line. A couple of people definitely swept a lot of it off the shelves right away, but I still managed to get Challis shorts, a pair of palazzo pants, flip flops, a little makeup bag, Bobby pins and hair ties, a scarf, and a romper and the pink eyelet shorts for DD. I just kind of hung around the dressing room and made friends with the other people so we kept an eye out for what the others were looking for. DD thought it was a fun adventure.
Oh, and a heads up a lot of the dresses and stuff was running small. I'm a pretty true size 8, occasionally a 10, and the size 12 shift dresses fit me pretty well.
I know I think it's going to be too long for my niece. [/vquote]
I'm going to hem it and make fabric headbands out of the extra......i got my older daughter the matching shirt to wear with white skinnies and I think there will be enough material for two.
It's as real as the Liberty of London, DVF, Missoni stuff was.
I can't tell if you're being sarcastic! I thought all of these Collabs were actual things from the designer and only sold at target for likited time then sold as part of the line at other stores afterwards

When I was hanging out at the dressing rooms waiting for go backs some people were trying on the kids xl size and it was fitting them. My guess it that they were a size small in women's.
Target 1x is a 16w-18w. I wear a 12 and almost got the satin nosey poise dress in a 1x but decided it would be way too big. I got the jumpsuit in an XL, which is apparently a 16 (I had assumed a 12-14, but that's actually target large) so I hope it works and is just a little blouse-y.
You guys, I had a cart full of stuff I legit wanted, but I put some back because I felt guilty. Like, I have every intention of using it all myself save for one set of mugs for my friend, but I was embarrassed about how much I had ?
I just went back to Target to see if there were any items that got put back. There was 1 jumpsuit, no accessories, and a few serving trays and candle holders. That's it. I'm going to try back in a couple days. Really want a clutch or wristlet, and maybe also a makeup bag.

I went this morning about 20 minutes after target opened and just hung out by the dressing rooms to see what people were returning. I actually got two pairs of pants (boom boom and the fan print) and one button down shirt. I was able to get a necklace and the giraffe towel from the shelves.
I think the pants probably run a bit on the smaller side. I'm like a 4/6 on the bottom, and the medium pants fit well. I'm surprised how much I like them though. I'm going to lunch with a friend this afternoon and I'm planning to wear a pair then. For a printed wide leg pant, I think they're pretty flattering.

Wow, my Target still has some stuff. I got the eyelet shorts and tried on the strapless maxi, but didn't love it so I put it back. Also found the stir sticks!
It is a shame because her stuff is absolutely my style. If it was a normal stock thing I would have bought several pieces. But I am lazy so I didn't even try.
This is me too. Ugh I'm way too lazy for events like this lol
