I am going to have a nice, easy run and then get ready for a road trip to MA. Ooh, and I get to eat lots of carbs today, no guilt (so really no different than any other day)

Good morning! I'm hanging out with my son and dog while DH does his long run (I'll do mine tomorrow). We need to get out of the house this afternoon because the weather will be spectacular.

Morning!
Need to get ready for my first ever 10k this morning. I guess the fact that it's a new distance is making me nervous - I haven't had butterflies before a race in a long time!
kams - Good luck! My H is OOT for two weeks and we are just closing out our last out last few hours of weekend before DD goes to bed. I'm exhausted. I am in awe of you with a little girl and a newborn!

I've been up since 5:30 with DS. Finally have him planted in front of Disney Junior with a dry bowl of cereal and a sippy cup while I do the elliptical.
DH is OOT on the weekend, per the usual, so reserving some energy to take both kids grocery shopping, then clean the house while DS takes his afternoon nap. DD also has practice for her gymnastics recital today, so hopefully that'll wear her out too. May take the jogging stroller, so I can do a couple miles outside with DS during her practice.
ETA: Re-reading my post. What a window into the glamorous life of suburban mom.

Good morning!! I'm up and about to go out for a short run. Then have a bunch of errands to do but hopefully I can spend some good time outside with the pups today. Beautiful picture @vtcupcake!!
Good morning! Beautiful day! DS has gymnastics this am. Then errands and hopefully a stroller run during nap. DH works all weekend so it's just the two of us. We have a play date tomorrow so at least we have things to do to wear us out . I am in constant awe of how you guys with 2+ kids do it!

Ahh, good luck kams. Is W still in the sleepy newborn phase, or is she awake most of the time? They fake you out the first few weeks, then stuff gets real, lol. That's a lot to juggle yourself.

ETA: Good luck to all of the racers this weekend!
2 weeks is a long time! My h is usually thurs through Sunday, with only a couple of week+. The longer trips are brutal.
Somehow, in some weird way, these trips with 2 are almost easier?! Idk, i think dd1 and I have more to do because we are "playing" with the baby during awake times, then she helps put her down, then we have things we have to do while baby sleeps. I could be crazy, but the days go by faster now.

Ya know, she's still pretty sleepy! She was so quiet in the womb, and she's sort of sticking to that. She's just as mellow as can be. Her awake periods are 1-1.5 hrs, which includes nursing. I just pop her in the ergo, she falls asleep, and then I lay her down.
Dd1 was not like this! And, I'm well aware that it may not be quite like this for much longer
Beautiful photo!I've been up most of the night because my poor 11yo fur kid was coughing, poor baby. She's had kennel cough VAX, so waiting for vet to call back. Any good thoughts her way would be appreciated. Loving an old dog is a rollercoaster..... Two days ago I could barely keep up with her on our walk!
My stepdad is surprising my mom with some house renovations today. My stepsister and I have been charged to occupy her for several hours! Wish us luck!
Heading out for 12 in about half an hour. I reworked my training plan for a 10-mile race and I am loooooving the long run distances for the next few weeks.
I feel like I should go for a short run but I just woke up and my eyes are burning. I went to sleep around 2am and it's only 7am now. I usually go to bed by 10, even on the weekends, but I stayed up to binge watch Drag Race. I am hurting now.
I'm picking up my 5k race packet today then heading to a friend's house. I have to clean as well since my cousin is coming out and staying with us. My house is an embarrassing disaster. DH went to play airsoft so it's me and the kids until this afternoon.

I ran 8 miles of the 12 I planned to run. Blah. This training cycle has sucked. I'm going to be so glad when my race is over.
My mom and stepdad are going to be here any minute to celebrate her birthday. We were all supposed to go to DS's soccer game but it was canceled bc the field is a swamp from rain earlier this week. Not sure what we will do instead.
Good morning! I slept half the day because vacation is over and I'm back at it overnight tonight. Going to attempt a longerish run later today, maybe 8 or so, if the weather permits. We had some CRAZY rain here last night.

It was a good morning! Sun is out! Now I'm at work. We have a member at our box who did a crazy benefit for WWP. For every dollar raised he would do one burpee. He raised $845! That's a lot of burpees.
It's gorgeous here! I got up at 4:45 to meet a group for a trail run. Seeing the sunrise on the trail along the river made it worth the effort! There was also a horse race that we didn't plan for, so we had to pull off about a dozen times. My anti-poison oak wipes got a workout after I finished.
Hurried home, because we're working on potty training today, which is a whole other kind of workout!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I just finish running 20 miles. It was.... okay. No stopping or nagging joints. Just slower than I'd like. I'm also really hoping adrenaline will get me through an additional 6 in a few weeks.
Yay lady!! You are definitely ready. I think today was deceivingly tough. It was beautiful but warm in the sun for us northerners.
