I had a chemical. I can't remember the exact time line, but I got my BFP, went in for blood work and it was very low, went back two days later for a repeat to see if it doubled, and then got the call that it was a chemical. I started bleeding soon after that, so maybe a week after the BFP? It was an extremely heavy period.

I've never had a chemical but I definitely understand the torture of the limbo you feel like you are in. I'm hoping like crazy that this works out for you!!

Sorry you're still in limbo I had one about a year ago while I was on vacation. Tested on 14dpo and got a light but decent line on FRER. Started spotting that night, a digital the next morning was negative and an FRER had a barely detectable line. Started bleeding for real later that day, very heavy period. I never went for betas or anything since I was on vacation.

Ugh! I haven't had a chemical but line darkness isn't supposed to mean anything. Is your OB office open today? If so, I would call and insist on blood work to check betas and progesterone and then do a repeat test in 48 hours. ETA: I'm crossing everything for you! Hold on baby!
I'm sorry you're dealing with this. I never had a chemical, but the line doesn't necessarily get darker. With A I never tested until several days after my period and got the faintest line ever. Went to my gyn half a week later and she couldn't confirm with urine and had to order a blood test. Just saying line darkness doesn't mean anything.

Thank you for this. My office is closed today and I really just don't want to do betas. Did you ever go in or just moved on with the next cycle?
I just called my OB when I got home, only really because we had just gotten started with infertility work up and I'd had an HSG that cycle. All she really had to say was that she was encouraged to know that we were able to get the sperm and egg to meet and we scheduled the planned bloodwork I needed to start Clomid. Aside from that I just carried on as usual to the next cycle.
sorry the nurse is dismissing your concerns. I got a positive at 12 dpo, was on vacation out of the country and didn't have anymore tests, and then started bleeding on timeish when I had a CP.
Huge hugs! I've only ever tested with Fmu, but I have unfortunately noticed that my two early miscarriages the line got darker, darker, darker, then lighter, lighter, lighter. I ended up miscarrying right around 5 weeks both times. I'm not positive with the first one, but I remember the second one I started bleeding late in the day from the morning when the line was barely recognizable. I am hoping and praying for you that this is not the case at all. That nurse is a bitch and you deserve to be seen. I would call and demand an appt until they give in. Hugs!

I'm sorry. With my CP, I got a positive the day before my period was due. I did not pee on lots of sticks though (I was naive!) so I don't know if the line was getting lighter. Then after 5 days, I essentially got my period and took another test which was negative.
Also, my doctor's office was dismissive too. They said something like "that's why we recommend not testing too early" STFU

WTF? I am raging just thinking about it. I guess the majority of people don't test early and don't take multiple tests? Geez.
Thanks everyone for your kind words. I really appreciate the support.
Who would be testing early other than someone TRYING to get pregnant and who has a decent knowledge of their own cycles. Those type of people of course test early and do multiple tests. ETA: anyone that doesn't understand that and the heartache of the potential results is ignorant or very insensitive.
I ended up two or three days late and had an extremely heavy period. My normal flow allows me to empty my diva cup every 8 hours or so, and I overflowed it a few times when I first started bleeding.
I didn't get a line until I was already late, so I can't help with that.
((Hugs)) I'm sorry you're having to think about all this.
