I just had to get a low-back bra to wear with a bridesmaid dress. It works well but TOTALLY creates an extra muffin top when I sit, lol. Im annoyed at David's Bridal because the dress only exposes a small bit of my regular bra; they should have designed it better.
Could you have cups sewn in?
No. Well, I could, but they wouldn't do anything as it's a zipper (not corset) back and I am a larger cup size. The bride picked the style in part because it has straps so we could wear real bras, too (as she's also a larger cup size). So close, David's Bridal, yet so ($70 bra) far.
H's grandma is in kidney and liver failure. She also has dementia that has been left unchecked for years. His grandfather was suffering through it without any help. He was just diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, though, so they had to move into an assisted living facility because he could no longer care for her. My FIL and BIL just went through their house, packing it up, and GMIL was hoarding food. According to GFIL, she has often been confused about what year they were living in and was very convinced that they would run out of food. She is now very confused and sad about why they are no longer in their house and is refusing to eat.
I don't know what the point of posting that was. I'm just upset and sad for my husband because he is having a hard time dealing with all of this. His grandmother passed away a year and a half ago from lung cancer, and his grandfather passed in 2011 from various health issues. It just sucks. I'm also obviously sad for his grandparents because the whole situation is fucking heartbreaking.

I hate not sleeping. I was exhausted last night from staying out late on Thursday for a girls' night out and H being out until 2:30am on Friday (and having to wake up early on Sat morning), but couldn't fall asleep. And then the dog came in at 6:30am and put his cold wet nose on my neck and then flapped his big ol' ears in my face. Argh. At least it's been sunny this weekend.
I finally got H on board with getting a dog, but only if we get a greyhound. Hopefully I'll be putting an application in at the beginning of the week. We're interested in a particular dog but this rescue just takes a general application and then has you work with a matchmaker.
ETA: Our last dog was part greyhound and a total couch potato. I think he's hoping for a similar temperament.
I just had someone want to order 1500 cupcakes with MJ leafs on them for TOMORROW. I guess 4/20 snuck up on them in the middle of Cannabis Cup? It would make my month so I was pretty excited. Then she said their budget is $300. Yeah, no.

I just finished watching my DVRed The Nightly Shows for the week--remember the thread about which celebrities you be upset about if the turned in a Cosby? Yeah, I'll breaking all kinds of shit if that happens with Neil deGrasse Tyson.

It's kind of making me LOL that they wanted to special order a rush job and only pay twenty cents a cupcake.

Me too! He is my celebrity crush. I love him.
I deleted all my recorded Nightly Shows because I had like 20 and figured I would never get caught up. Then I found out he was on this week. So bummed!

You can see it on the Comedy Central website. I was on looking because Laryy claimed there was a clip of him and Neil "blerding" on there--couldn't find it, but the show is there.

Right?? At least I know what she was smoking when she called with this request.

Greyhounds are called "the world's fastest couch potatoes." I love their personalities.

As long as you're getting a retired racer you're be getting a lazy dog. The only nutty ones I've seen were ones that flunked out of racing school and got adopted as older pups (1yr or less). Track life makes them super chill
I have tonight's dinner simmering on the stove with minimal active cook time left and I have tomorrow's dinner done (except the veg) and in the fridge waiting for H to put in the oven before I leave work tomorrow. And the kitchen is clean. I'm feeling accomplished.

I think I saw a coyote on my way to work at 5AM in front of our building. Or a very wolf-like dog. I didn't like it either way If it was a lost dog, I feel bad that I didn't help it- but there was no one around to save me if it was a rabid coyote! If it was a coyote, I'm worried about the neighborhood cats- but I've also never heard of one coming this far into the city.
I know it's a bad pic but does anyone have a guess? (and I hate the carts my neighbors drag home and leave all over the place, but at least they give a sense of scale here)

My husband is judging me for making 7 layer salad to go with our very classy dinner of hot dogs. Wtf. I told him that you can take the girl out of the Midwest, but you can't take the Midwest out of the girl.

It sucks and I'm sorry that your family is dealing with this. My Grandma had a neurodegenerative disease called pernicious anemia. You just do the best you can, you know?

Oh GOD. I have been wanting to make a 7 layer salad since EASTER. I just need to get on it.

Yes, you really do. I actually have been wanting one since you mentioned it then. lol
I keep sneaking into the kitchen and stuffing bites into my mouth. I'm not even sorry.
