We're having story time at work today and I get to be the one to read to the kids. I'm so freaking excited!!!!! Though, I have been warned that not many people bring their kids because my store isn't the best at getting the word out, so I may just be reading to my girls.
I painted my nails with the polish I got in my ipsy bag. The boys are all freaking out. Carl is telling me I haven't done this since our wedding, J pushed all of my fingernails, and A won't let me touch him because he's afraid it will rub off on him.

Fuck you people.
LOL
I paint me mine & the littles here are all "now me!"

yep. same here.
I painted mine with UD Bang... DD wanted the fuschia from my Ipsy bag... and DS wanted green, so he'd look like a zombie.

DS is officially in at DD's school, which makes me so happy I could just scream.
It took till mid-August before DD was in (she was on the wait list, it's an all-city lottery)... he had a sibling preference, so it was pretty much a guarantee, but it's nice that it's official.

plus, this happened today:
(with H and me on a no-or-low sugar diet, doughnuts are an EXTREME rarity. Like, we don't eat freaking bread, FFS... but we decided to say fuckit and just do something really bad and really tasty.
I made friends here! You have no idea how huge this is. Everyone I've ever liked so far has been transient. But today I had the BEST time with a pair of Americans who are permanent and who I really get on with. Like I would be friends with them even if I was home. I am so excited.

If I ever paint mine or get a mani/pedi, my kids are all up my ass to do theirs too. Scarlett thinks if I get a pedicure or manicure, she gets one too now that I've taken her a few times.
I think this is the real reason my husband is on the no more kids train. He's terrified we'll have another girl and he'll have to support three high maintenance ladies. His mom and sister are super low maintenance, and it probably took him all 12 of the years we've been together to finally get used to me and he still is surprised from time to time.
If I were to go to hell, Transformers: Age of Extinction would play over and over and over forever. Which means it would only need to play about 3 times because it's so fucking long.
Major, you called those girls' parents and told them to send their children back to help clean, right?
I don't understand why people are flaky about play dates. DD was supposed to go to a new friend's house today but the new friend called at 7:30am to tell us she can't because she apparently has dance commitments this morning. How did she not know this previously? The mom and I actually talked earlier in the week about this play date. Is this child lying?
Then there is the group of parents who promise up and down to set up a play date but will not respond to emails or phone calls ever.
Then there is that parent who is paranoid and whose child has never had a playdate ever.
I feel like we have a core group that is reliable for play dates and the rest are just weird about them. I hear the same thing from other parents. I don't get this. Don't you want to unload your kid for free for a few hours?
We are slowly unpacking and this weekend we tackled the kiddos many boxes of toys . So proud of her. We purged one large moving box full of toys and I let her choose what to get rid of.

I'm having one of those materialistic parent moments. We bought one of those big wooden swing sets from my neighbor. I feel like I finally did something awesome for my kids.
