My kid was also gassy. Someone on MMM gave me this technique to sit him on my lap, circle his torso to the left, then front to back, then circle to the right, front to back and then burp. It worked well, better than just burping. Also, any time DH put him in the Becco he burped. LOL
Circle his torso with my hand? Or twist him? Explain yourself!
I have such a hard time getting him to burp. It just doesn't work.
Sit him on your lap. Hold his neck with your dominant hand and place your other hand on his belly. Circle his torso around, while he's resting on your lap. Then bend him forward and back, repeat, circling counterclockwise,my end forward and then back. By this time he should burp, if not, then place him over your shoulder and burp the old fashioned way.
We had a playdate at my house. No one has come over since we moved here except for family visiting from out of town. It was fun! DH put together DSs sand/water table that MIL got him for Christmas and we put it on the porch with the plastic slide that she gave him for his birthday. The kids had a blast and I got to chat with a new friend (I don't have any friends here, it sucks). ANNNND I have a neato that cleaned up all the sand while DS was napping.
Now laundry and GOT. Next weekend we are going to Houston for a family event on DHs side. There are kids that are close in age to our kids ages and they've never met. I'm excited about getting all the kids together. Plus one of his cousins just had twins so I'm hoping she will need help (that's 100% certainty right?) so I can get some baby snuggles in.

I got back yesterday morning. I didn't sleep well on the flight, so rested when I got back. H did a great job while I was away.
I do have to catch up the laundry and floors and counters and bathrooms. Cleaning was not a highlight for him, but the kids got wonderful care.
Both H and D have been critical of the fact that I spent vacation time working, but it was a great opportunity to get the drawing that I have to do done. Plus, my uncle has asked me to draw the cover of a book.
I am going to work hard and get this crap done because I am so, so over it and at this point feel kind of sorry that I took on this work.
I have a lot of grumbling I could do, but it wouldn't serve any good.
The woman who did the pat down for my return flight asked me if I was pregnant or had just had a baby and I told her I was just fat. I will continue to dedicate myself to weight loss.
I am reading The Girl on the Train. I'm eighty or so pages in and, frankly, kind of bored.
D and I are reading The Adventures of Captain Underpants. He likes it so far.
The Red Sox and the Orioles are tied for first place in the AL Eastern Division; who is going to break the tie tomorrow on Patriot's Day? I am now a full-on baseball fan, my interest escalated quickly.
PDQ this next part. I still feel like there is subtle bullshit between B and I, but it's so subtle even I don't know. He seems to be mimicking my social media posts here and there, like copying me. Give it up, yo. I guess I should ignore him, but I have zero self-control there and no reason to stop looking; I guess he doesn't either. It's harmless, but stupid. We are stupid. I am stupid.
