How was everyone's weekend? After my crazy week I had a very relaxing weekend at home. Friday at work our boss got us pedis and foot massages as a thank you for our work in Chicago all week which was AWESOME. Yesterday was gorgeous so after the bridesmaid dress fitting we went to the dog park, then had pinkberry, and ended up in Coolidge Corner at a baby gear shop and tested car seats. We landed on the Uppababy Mesa which works perfect with the UB stroller we picked. Then today I went downtown with some girls from work and went to the spa and had a prenatal massage and Vietnamese food. The spa was amazing, we spent hours there.
Yesterday was pretty awesome, MIL took me shopping for maternity clothes and I found basically everything I need for the rest of the pregnancy minus a couple of tanks and probably 1 more shirt. Oh, and I need more comfortable underwear but I wasn't about to let her buy that.. haha. We met up with H, his grandma and an aunt for lunch and had proabably the most amazing turkey burger in my life. MIL and I had such a good time, it was really nice.
Today I have a headache, and I'm starting to get lightening crotch so it's not such a super fantastic day. But Magic Mike is on so that helps.
Low-key weekend here. I was feeling really tired yesterday, so I slept in and lazed around most of the day. That resulted in me getting up super early today. I ran errands all morning and then we finally took the stroller and car seat out of their boxes and got them assembled. And we just hung the curtains in the nursery. The crib is arriving this week, so that will be next weekend's project!

Mine was pretty jammed, as usual.
Yesterday I met up with some friends for a 7 mile run. After we went to a special event at Athleta- they invited a bunch of us to come for a PR event where they taught a yoga class, gave us 50% off whatever we bought, and sent us home with a bag of stuff.
Then we drove up to meet my cousins for dinner. They're in town for a wedding.
Today we had my grandmother's memorial service. We just got back to town and have friends coming over after to dinner to drop off the breastfeeding guide I lent them when she was pregnant.
Slow paced but productive weekend here. We have a cleaning service coming tomorrow for a deep cleaning, so had to put everything away. I tried to put things where they belong instead of shoving them away, one of my better talents, lol. Finally packed our hospital bags. The temp we got to cover for me at work is a fast learner, between that and the bags being done, I'm starting to feel more at ease about whenever baby girl decides to make her appearance.
hainesherway, how are you doing? Were you able to make it to your shower?

I was not able to make it my shower. The doctors just didn't feel comfortable discharging me as I'm not out of the woods yet. Luckily, I was able to "be there" by using Skype from my computer in the hospital room to my BFF's computer. Then, a smaller group of family/friends was able to come up to the hospital to visit me in a private room they let us use. It turned out to be a great day after all!

We got the car seat installed yesterday which is a relief, meant to do the pack n play today but it didn't happen. My hospital bag is packed and I'm trying to line up someone to come clean the house in a week or two. Saw MIL today for the first time since I was about 11 weeks, she just got back from her winter down south. She's very excited for her new granddaughter to arrive.
We were just at the townhouse next door, we are feeding their cat while they're OOT for a week and went over to meet the cat and get instructions. Their Roomba was going while we were there and I'm so glad because it convinced H that we need one, finally! We both hate cleaning our floors so much and there's so much cat hair around. Seeing it in action convinced him. We won't get it right away but it's in our future!
I've been so exhausted lately. H had to work yesterday and I had all these plans to be productive while he was out. I was too tired and barely did anything. I ended up vegging and sleeping a lot. I know I needed it but I'm still bummed I have so much to do. After he got home we did some errands which was good. Today was similar, I'm just pooped. I did some cooking and H was awesome and installed the car seat, put together the stroller and bouncer. So at least he was productive! I'm so not looking forward to the work week. I really wish I could take some time off before the baby. I feel like I need it. I'm so tired and I just want to rest before things get even more exhausting.
