Not too shabby.
Saturday I went to an alumni event at a brewery to "work". It was the first time that I actually drank all 4 of my allotted beers. I felt accomplished, but it probably wasn't such a good idea to do it when I was there for work. Oh well.
Sunday was pretty awesome. I feel like it was the first time in over two weeks that I could do whatever I wanted all day.
Pretty darn good! We finished up our 14 day clean eating challenge and that means ALCOHOL! We both lost a few pounds, so that is cool.
Friday - I got a tattoo for 6 hours (it was my second session), then taught a class that night. Sorry if that is huge! Saturday - taught classes in the morning, then met my mom, aunt, sister, and some of her friends for lunch because she was in town from Florida. It was...okay. Overall, it went well, but my mom has just changed so much. We went out to dinner with friends that night. Sunday - mentored an instructor, ran errands, got a pedicure, went for drinks with a friend, then watched GoT!!

Thursday night the H and I went to the movies to see the new Fast & Furious. I totally choked up at the Paul Walker tribute, it still makes me so sad, but the movie was pretty good (if not slightly cheesy).
Friday I did some grocery shopping, touched up my hair, made a batch of dog food, and then my out of town friend came over and we went out to the memorial gathering for our friend. We got there before the storm came through so we didn't have to drive in it, but there was a truly amazing lightning show going on around us at the bar we were at for the celebration. Waited until the rain let up and ended up coming back home around 1am. I even saw someone I knew from elementary school that I hadn't seen in over 20 years, so that was kind of neat.
Saturday we went to the concert festival all day long and had a blast. The weather spared us and we never got any rain at the venue, which was surprising since it was forecasted to be rainy all day long. We went mostly to see Breaking Benjamin, Dirty Heads, and Godsmack, but Robert DeLong really blew me away with his talent and ended up being my favorite performer.
Yesterday we just recovered from the concert, watched some DVR recordings, and made some chicken tacos. The weather got bad again yesterday evening and some areas around here actually got some hail! At least it's a little cooler this morning, though, and it cleared out overnight.

We have seen Robert DeLong twice at a local venue here in town! He is such a great performer!!
The rest of the weekend was spent walking around my neighborhood, buying ingredients at a bunch of different shops, and then cooking/eating. Oh, and I watched Gone Girl. I had read the book, and I thought the movie was well done.

Kinda shitty, but that was to be expected.
Friday Jay and I went out for Tacos and then home pretty early. Saturday we primed the basement and got it ready for paint.
Saturday Night I went to BFF's house and we just hung out and kept each other company.
Sunday Jay and I packed up and went to the wake, which obviously sucked.
Sunday night we went to Jay's parents house since they live 30 minutes from the funeral home and we live over an hour. It was actually really nice being there because MIL made homemade soup, which was probably the only thing i could have eaten. Well, that and the crusty bread.
Monday really really sucked because it was SO friggen cold. I had my winter coat, a spring jacket and a sweatshirt. Luckily I did b/c BFF forgot her coat, so I gave her my winter coat and her daughter my sweatshirt. The burial was SO windy, cold and rainy. It was just awful.
BFF was really sad and at one point she said, "Thank for being my BFF. I couldn't do this without you." It made me feel so happy that I could be there for her and so sad because she's hurting so badly.
