I remember the dinner connundrum all too well. You're lucky to have an H that can cook, mine could possibly blow up our kitchen if he tried. During the first tri I would just decide on what takeout I felt I could handle and pick it up on my way home from work, and he just ate whatever I was in the mood for thankfully.
Eh, it's just how our division of labor works. I work longer hours than he does, so I needed him to take a few things off my plate at home. He's better at cooking than cleaning, so grocery shopping + dinner has been his main household responsibility for most of the last 8 years.
I actually don't always love that, because I have strong feelings about what and how much I want to eat, but I can't (and don't want to) do everything.
1. How far along are you this week? I'm 24w 5d today
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I have my monthly OB appointment at the end of this week and will do my glucose screen that day. My H wants to come to my appointment with me even though I told him nothing exciting was going to happen. My parents are visiting from OR (haven't seen them since I was 8w pregnant) and were surprised at how pregnant I look now.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? I haven't looked into any specifically, but I would like to do something to meet other moms in the area. We will have to see what fits into my work schedule.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? I think I might have wanted to see my H before the moment I walked down the aisle. I was so overcome with emotion when I saw him for the first time at the end of the aisle that I started crying. I think if we would have seen each other earlier in the day I might have been able to keep it together during the walk down the aisle. Also, I wish my grandma wouldn't have had to go to the ER and subsequently be hospitalized during my wedding. I spent a lot of the reception and honeymoon worrying about how she was doing.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? We moved this weekend, so I am just feeling tired. My feet hurt and actually got a little bit swollen both Saturday and Sunday evenings (definitely nothing extreme, my shoes just felt tight).
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? Haven't even thought about it. I might want to try to find a local twin group though.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? I loved our wedding day, but I would want our videographer to double check the audio quality for our ceremony. The microphones didn't work for the video, so we only have the audio that the camera captured. The ceremony was absolutely my favorite part, I just wish we could hear it better.
1. How far along are you this week? Well according to my LMP, 9 weeks 3 days. My ultrasound last week showed that I am significantly far behind that though. I go for a blood draw this afternoon and should hear back from my doctor soon to decide what is going on.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I'm just feeling disappointed with how my appointment went last week. I got very little information from my doctors regarding my ultrasound.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? I'd like to find a moms group in my area since none of my friends have kids yet.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? I had a destination wedding in Las Vegas. We flew out the Wednesday before our wedding and then came back home the next day. I wish we would have spent more time there after the wedding so we could relax.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
I'm so tired. I feel like crap. I was doing pretty well for a while, but I'm not sleeping well seriously, I think had to get up to pee 6x last night . I have 3 weeks left at work and I just wish I could stop now and rest at home. I'm getting anxious about going into labor and delivery and then dealing with a newborn. We installed the carseat this weekend and it is SO heavy and awkward to get in and out of the car. I may have had a mini panic attack. sigh. It also freaks me out that people keep saying she could come "any day now!!!". That's not helping my anxiety.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future?
I really want to meet some new moms with babies close in age. I'm hoping to find some mom's groups, maybe a library sing along or something. I did a few prenatal classes and was disappointed I didn't really bond with anyone. I'd love to find a mom and baby yoga class, that would be fun.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be?
Haha, mine is stupid. I had cups sewn into my dress and I don't think I needed them. My boobs were popping out and I didn't realize it until we got the photos back. It makes me cringe thinking about it and I wish someone had told me!!!
It is interesting to see how many people wish they had a videographer. My H does wedding videography as a side business (and he's *awesome*!). I always advise people to get it if they can afford it and am surprised by how many people think it is unnecessary. I get it, to each their own. But I *love* our video and we watch it often. They day flew by so fast, I honestly remember very little of it and I love being able to see it again.

I usually cook/menu plan in our house and we had the dinner issue first trimester too. It took H a while to realize that I needed help and he needed to take care of me. Even though I was throwing up daily. Those first few months were hard, I just don't think he realized how hard being pg was since his life wasn't really changing yet. It took a while, but he's MUCH better now. I hope your H comes around soon!

1. How far along are you this week?
34 weeks tomorrow!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
I've got an appointment today, I need to remember to ask if this kid is head-down yet since I can't tell. And the nursery is starting to come together! Hung the curtains and book-shelves this weekend. Really, all I need to do is get new bedlinens for the guest bed and steam the glider.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future?
We did swimming lessons at 9 months and that was awesome, so we'll probably do that again.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be?
I'd change a lot. DH and I did a lot to please other people and make things easy for our guests. If I could go back, I'd do it on a more meaningful date and location (even though it wouldn't be nearly as convenient for our guests)

1. How far along are you this week? 32 weeks
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I can't put off my shower TY noted anymore. I started this weekend and have maybe 10 done. Con to having a big shower!
I lost a pound in 2 weeks! I'm pretty sure it's just water weight so no reason for concern (5pm appt vs 8:30am). At the end of the day my ankles are gone :-(
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? I don't know if this is my thing.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? I though videographers were pointless. And while I don't think I'd watch it more than twice, i should have at least considered it.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I took the 1 hour gd test this morning. It wasn't that bad, but I felt shaky and jittery during. Then I came home and crashed. Just woke up from a 3 hour nap.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? I haven't even looked to see what is offered in my area.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? I'd have a band instead of a DJ. We choose the DJ because we thought we couldn't afford the band. Then when all was said and done, we ended up $1500 under budget, at which point I thought "damn! Could have gotten the band!"
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Luckily I'm feeling great, baby girl is moving all the time, and it's the best feeling in the world.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? There's a mommy/baby bootcamp group that I'd like to try after baby is born to get my ass back into shape!
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? Nothing, I loved my wedding.
1. 30+4 2. Not much going on. 3. I do Kindermusik with DD and have since about 4/5 months. It's a lot of fun! I also want to do swim and tumbling classes. 4. I have major dress regret and would have a do over with the dress I should have bought.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Still feeling yucky from low blood pressure but doing pretty good otherwise.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? Nothing planned for now. Hopefully some type of moms group eventually.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? I was at a wedding this weekend this weekend and thinking about this. I don't think there's anything I would change
1. How far along are you this week? 8 weeks now. I have an u/s tomorrow, and as long as everything looks good, we will tell our families this weekend. My sisters and BFF's know, but I haven't even told my other kids yet!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I am gagging way less, which is a much needed relief.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? Not really. I never did any with my girls, I can't imagine I will with this one.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? It was a Friday night, and felt kind of rushed because of that. I would make it a Saturday.

noodleoo, I'll hang out with you when we're on maternity leave! Which car seat did you end up getting? Every single person keeps telling me I'm going to go early. I really should collect bet money from each of these people and get to keep it if I'm sitting around waiting at 39.5 weeks.

We went on Saturday and tested the carseat we want in my car to make sure it fits. Magic Beans has a creepy fake baby they put in that weighs like 12 lbs so you can see how heavy it gets with a baby in it. It's crazy!!

Awesome! I'd love to hang out.
We got the Chicco Keyfit 30. I think it was one of the lighter carseats we looked at in our price range. There was one that was lighter, but we didn't like it as much. I'm not that strong in general, so I think any of them will be hard for me to get used to. I'm assuming I'll figure it out. We put the carset in the middle of my car (Rav4) as recommended, but it is SO hard to reach it. H thinks we should move it behind the drivers side so it is easier for me, but then I freak out that won't be as safe. Ugh!!!
preppy: Buy Buy Baby also had a creepy doll! It was a little disturbing.

We have the same car seat, I didn't find it that heavy/bulky but we didn't install it in the middle. We installed it in H's Explorer on Saturday, but there were no latch anchors for the middle so even though that's safest it wasn't a possibility. The next safest is behind the driver FYI, but that didn't work for us either because H is so tall - with his seat as far forward as he could possibly stand, we still couldn't snap the car seat in! So we had to settle for behind the passenger and it is pretty easy to take in and out. Well, while it's empty anyway haha. I have an Altima and haven't looked at the latch anchors for that yet. Hopefully we can install that one behind the driver if the middle isn't a possibility, but that would also mean H can never drive my car. When he's in that driver's seat there's pretty much not even room for a passenger behind him.

1. 33w1d
2. It's official, I'm in the hospital until the baby is born. It's just too risky to let me out because I could have a massive bleed again. The ideal goal will be to give me a c section at 37 weeks.
3. Haven't looked into it.
4. I wish we would have had a family member videotape our ceremony. Would be nice to be able to see that again!

Oh man.
That stinks that you're stuck there for the next month. I am glad that you're there in case anything happens. Keep us updated. Lots of thoughts for you and baby.

We have the same car seat, I didn't find it that heavy/bulky but we didn't install it in the middle.
We also bought the Keyfit (part of the travel system), and I am embarrassed to say that I didn't even think to see how heavy it was until we were sitting in our infant care class and the instructor suggested taking a bag of flour to the store to try them out, haha. We were more worried about how the stroller maneuvered. (Ok, fine. And whether or not there were cupholders.) I'm glad to hear it doesn't seem too bulky/heavy, though, because I would be screwed.

Haha! Yeah, we picked based on reviews, how easy it was to snap in and out and how much we liked the snap & go frame that went with it. It is very highly recommended! They are just all bulky and heavy. My H was like "don't worry, I'll carry it!" and I'm like, you are crazy, we aren't always together! And I do plan to leave the house while I'm on maternity leave! I'm sure I"ll get used to it and maybe even grow some muscles.
starburst604: Thanks for your comments! That makes me feel better. Yeah, we can't do middle in H's car either (Camry), the latches are too far apart. So behind the drivers seat it is. So maybe it will be okay if I move it there in my car too. I guess I need to start relaxing a bit about all the recommendations and just do my best.

Oh wow, good luck! I'm glad you are in the safest place possible to be. I hope they are keeping you stocked with good stuff to read and trashy TV! I hope the time passes quickly and soon you'll be taking your adorable baby home!
1. How far along are you this week? 22 weeks, 3 days
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? I can't stop eating! My stomach is a bottomless pit and it's totally ridiculous. However food is delicious!!
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future? Not really.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? Our wedding was awesome. Not a big deal at all, but I'd change the bakery we used for our cake. The way they decorated it was not like it was supposed to be. Their interpretation of the paisley pattern from our invitation was a complete joke.

Good luck! Sorry you have to be there for so long, but hopefully the time will go quickly. Better to be safe. Keep cooking baby hainsherway!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week?
Put off my GD test last week so I'm going to try and go in this afternoon or tomorrow.
We're thinking about doing the 3D elective ultrasound, I know it's not necessary but we're both curious about it.
3. Are there any mommy and me type classes you are looking forward to taking with this little one in the future?
I've been loving yoga so I want to do mommy and me yoga, and probably swimming once baby is old enough. I looked into some classes and looks like 6 months is the earliest for swimming.
4. If you could go back and change or add one thing about your wedding day what would it be? Taking a longer honeymoon! I wish we'd taken 2 weeks instead of just one. Especially since it overlapped Thanksgiving and we could have done it pretty easily.
hainesherway - sorry to hear you have to stay in the hospital, but hopefully you can keep your baby cooking with no bleeding for a few more weeks!
Any shows to catch up on or books you are planning to read while you are there?
Today I read "Belly Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy as it was a shower gift from my SIL. I'm going to catch up on shows in my iPad through Amazon prime. And I'll probably be here more too.

1. 5w6d 2. Ultrasound with the re on Thursday. The spotting has continued (light brown and not much but just about everyday) I feel great and haven't been sick which is also a mind game I don't want to wish nausea on myself. I'm glad we have the appointment this week. 3. I haven't thought about it yet. 4. Bigger budget we had hardly any money had everything at the church it was dry. I had a great time but it wasn't the norm.
