Both of our administrative assistants quit! One resigned 2 weeks ago, with her last day last Friday. The other quit today, with her last day on May 1. Both cited a hostile work environment as the reason for their departure!
You'd better start keeping a bottle in your desk. Is boss lady the main issue or only part of the drama? When turnover happens like that, someone must see there is a problem. I mean other than you and the people that left that is.

Seriously, though. I kept a single shot of fireball and a file in my desk that had everything on it I needed to grab in the event I was leaving for good within 5 minutes. We called it "the red file."

All of them are related to Boss Lady and how awful she is to work for. There are 4 of us left who were her 2.5 years ago. Turnover is to be expected but this is nuts!
Is there any other place for you to work in your city?
I have a pretty specialized set of degrees, and am actually employed in that field, so jobs in my area of expertise are pretty few and far between. I'm sticking it out through one more year for the maternity leave benefits, then in out of there wether I have a job in my field, or a job at all.
Oh wow! Hopefully that will raise enough red flags and someone will do something.
I feel like I'm missing some back story here. Have you posted about how terrible your work is?
I have a little bit. I work for a narcissist, who is basically a terrible person. Every bad thing you've heard about a female boss? She exceeds the stereotype!
@foodielicious I swear to God I'm kind of enjoying the drama Rama. The zillow listing says it's been on the market for 5 days. I'm guessing she had some kind of come to Jesus moment with the Big Boss last week, as one employee resigned, a manager attended a meeting with HR labeled "Hostile Owrk Wnvironment ?", and the Big Boss had to sit through a THIRD Union greviance hearing with her.
I swear to God, Im dying to hear how she spins this. Her husband just took a promotion in the military and moved to Florida and her daughter is graduating from high school this spring and will attend college on Florida. Dollars to doughnuts says she spins it as a "I need to be with my family."
