I get annoyed because there are too many repeat initials and I can't remember what kid we're talking about. I feel like a tool because I call Genevieve "G" on here, but that's what I call her IRL! Lol

Yes! I always feel silly using DD & DS, or B & C (their initials). But then again it's easier than typing the whole name so there's that

I usually do it out of laziness. I use E and Ethan pretty interchangeably. SOMETIMES IT'S JUST TOO HARD TO TYPE THE EXTRA FOUR LETTERS, OKAY!!!!!!!!!!!

I think it's just laziness for the most part. But if I see a mom using an initial, I don't want to use her kid's name, because I'm not sure if it's laziness or a privacy thing.

It perfectly describes visceral emotional pain/sadness. But should be reserved for extremes IMHO.

I hate when people post something (like an article of clothing or shoes) and say, "What do WE think of this?"
Asking "what do YOU think of this" is fine but when the poster says "we" it makes me think they are too chicken to even have an opinion unless the group approves it.
