I don't have a headboard. I have a big window above my bed as well with a nice view. I guess I've never thought about a headboard for that reason. BF hasn't lived in his current place very long and I don't think he really wants to put anything on the walls. His walls are painted a distinctive color and I don't think he wants to deal with repainting if he moves out. The walls do look pretty warm and inviting anyway.

I love how those of us in earthquake country have nothing above our beds. I think its ingrained in our subconscious to not have things that can fall on us near our beds!
I want to put up some travel pics but I need frames and $$ to get a few of them printed up in larger sizes.

I currently have a framed print from Ikea. I recently bought the pic shown below to replace it, I just need to frame it. I grew up in earthquake country, and now live in another part of earthquake country, but I still have stuff on my wall above my bed. I guess I like to live dangerously!
No headboard, but 3 canvases side by side. They were decorated at my daughter's 3rd birthday party. White canvas - paint filled eggs of varying colors were throw at them. They are vibrant and colorful and cheer me up every time that I look at them.
A espresso colored frame with cream matting that says "Hers" scrolled across it. I had the "His" next to it when I was married...but centered the "Hers" one above my bed when I moved out:). It was so freeing!!
I have no headboard, but I used a Groupon to have this photo from Iceland enlarged as a canvas print. Someday when I can borrow a drill (since the wall is concrete), I will hang it above the bed.
That was my favorite photo that worked with the wall, which is fairly bright green thanks to the previous owners. If I can't be bothered to drill a hole and hang a photo, I certainly can't be bothered to repaint! Luckily my navy curtains and duvet cover don't clash with it!
