Here's the girl top 20 list, in the interest of fairness. #21 is Piper!
Zinnia
Zinnia is my favorite. It was tied with Iris if M had been a girl. This is probably why @starry thinks I am a hipster .
I agree that there are a lot of Maxes here. When mine was born I added up all the Max names (Maxwell, Max, Maximus...)that had been born the year before, and the number was the same as the 27th name on the Social Security list. I decided I could live with 27. Maxwell was 99 on the Maryland list, and I was okay with that as well. We also have what I would consider a disproportionate number of Adas (at least three).
This was almost DD's name if we hadn't gone with Piper.
Pretty sure it's the "and Stimpy" thing for me
oh no. I know someone naming their fetus wren and I dont like it. Now its horrid. I keep picturing wren and Stimpy!! Thanks a lot. Need to get it out of my head.

Neither of my kids names have been mentioned. But I hear my son's name out in public all the time. I really hate that, but my husband really liked the name and we have no friends who have used it.

I had no idea Lucy was so popular here! I'll be adding one more in a few weeks. It was my Nana's name Her real name was actually Lucia but no one called her that. We thought of using it but it didn't quite flow with our Irish last name. I don't know any other little girl's named Lucy IRL.
They all run together in my mind, like a class roster from, oh... 1890.
I googled hipster baby names, so this is a website's top 20 for boys. These remind me of MMM names. Of course, I named my kid Owen, and many people are very against anything that is top 50 on the SSA, so what do I know.
Ike
Kale
Atticus
Elvis

Omg, it's me, isn't it?
It's totally me too. J's name isn't on this list but it's very uncommon and ends in "son", which I know there are a lot of feelings about on this board.
I have a Tess/Caroline & Catherine. But there are 3 Ada's which I think is giving Cora a run on here.
Speaking of hipster names...my friend named his DD Poet. My old friend from college has an 11yr old Cale. And my neighbor had a Dexter Atticus & sister is Mabel. Double hipster.
I know a couple Maeve's in real life, but I feel like that gets brought up as an option frequently here.
Not my cup of tea. Sounds close to Maude. To fit in, possible sibling names that come to mind are: Myrtel, Ethel, Mildred, Geraldine
Buuut... it's a legit Irish name, not one that's plucked from the top 10 names of the 1890 census.
Fight fight fight! JK. I am defensive when people don't like names I like, ha. (Maeve was one of the names I wanted for my DD's middle name but a way more ethnic name -- from my H's heritage -- won out.)
Are our children going to name their kids Linda and Debbie and Barbara and Carol??
Probably! No one thinks their mom's generation is cool, but grandma's is old enough to be new again.
I know zero babies with any of the 50's/60's/70's names mentioned. Also see Janet, Karen, Patty, Susan, Judy, etc. Basically all of the "mom names" from when I was growing up.
ETA: You mentioned my mom's name and my DD's name was my grandma's MN so I am exemplifying this pattern
I haven't shared DD's name and probably won't share DS's either, but I will say that DS's name is going to be a common MMM name, one of those that has been rising in popularity in recent years. I don't have a good feel for many of the kids' names here since a lot of people (like me) don't put the names in their signature, so I remember the ones I see all the time.
This post inspired me to look at see the top 10 baby names of 1925, the year my Grandma was born. She made the list. It was #183 when she named my mom the same thing in 1961. Now it doesn't even make the list!
