Daycare has jersey day tomorrow and lol nope, Bas does not have a jersey. We did dig out a 3t polo that is vaguely sportsy (it has a number on the chest?) and I guess that'll do. Low effort parenting.
Our daycare had this too. Plus superhero day. He has neither. He went in regular clothes and thankfully didn't notice.
We ran out of coffee creamer and I forgot to buy more at Target Monday night, so I went to Starbucks this morning after dropping off DD at daycare. I prefer my coffee from home I did get a delicious breakfast sandwich though, so not a total loss.
DD starts her new daycare on Monday. I'm excited and nervous. Why does change have to be so hard?
I'm trying to get to August for my phone upgrade. But I had to buy a "new" one on Amazon, a crappy POS to get me through. Well that POS is not working now and I can't do Early Edge with Verizon because you're required to send in your previous phone in good *working* condition. Fuck fuck fuck. I refuse to pay $600 for a phone right now.

Maybe go with a different kind of Jersey. Is it warm enough to go shirtless? And Bas obviously has some silver chains already.
NOT COOL!
Insert my obligatory "only one of the fools on that show was actually FROM NJ" here.
@supergreen - it will be fine! Wear your DD as you do dinner (and do something super easy and simple for dinner) and then either wear her or put her down while you give your DS a bath (make it a fast one). then I would just get DS dressed and ready for bed while you either have your DD laying next to you (DS2 spent a lot of time on a blanket on the floor lol) or put her in the crib while you get DS down.
Or, skip the bath entirely. But I live on the edge like that. lol.
Thanks for the tips! Luckily I was able to get in touch with my mom, and we're going over to their house for bath and bedtime. She's a great cook too, so BONUS!
I love that DS loves the outfits I buy him. I just bought him orange shorts and I showed them to him and he was like. "Oh MOMMY Thank you so much! Those are amazing!"
Ha, I love it.
DS is usually like this, he loves new clothes. But he poo-poo'ed my entire summer Carter's order. Even the monster truck shirt. Boo.
I'm on the porch nursing DD while DS plays in the sandbox. I was burping DD and she managed to miss the burp cloth and the spit-up went over my shoulder PLOP on the porch. Now the dog is licking it up. Yeah sure fine, whatever.

I have basically eaten my way through my work trip. All these freaking breakfast, lunch and dinner meetings is literally making me sick.
And nothing like working out at altitude to humble you. I have been huffing and puffing the past 3 mornings and my arms are so sore for lifting my normal weight I can barely lift them.

To be fair, Carter's summer clothes this year were a bit lack luster lol.
I sought advice on the potential job from someone in a different department (because I need/needed advice and should not discuss this within my department yet). I asked if the fact that I'm young and have only 5 years experience with my current employer if I'd run into issues of being "too young" or "too inexperienced."
He replied that those won't be an issue, but the fact that I'm a woman will be.
It is not surprising, and if he didn't offer up the info I was going to ask outright because I can see it being a problem here. And he said that there would only be a few people like that to contend with... but they're there.
The only way to change the culture is to prove them wrong. The only way to change the culture is to prove them wrong. The only way to change the culture is to prove them wrong...

Seemed normal to me. I'm hoping he'll warm up to the new clothes. Monster truck, lizards, sharks, stripes. Standard toddler fare. I luuuv all of DD's pretty things, I can't wait until she can fit into them. Butterflies, elephants, giraffes, and strawberries.
I doubled the recipe. So I think I would explode. Ha! My six year old gagged when she had it this morning. She is strange. More for me!
DS2 won't eat it because of the yogurt. Even if it didn't have yogurt, he wouldn't eat it because it looks like it might have yogurt. Basically any all-white substance you eat with a spoon is off limits for him. We had to coerce him and essentially force-feed him vanilla ice cream once just to be like I PROMISE IT IS NOT YOGURT.
Breakfasts would be so much easier on me if my kid would quit being weird.
My kids love yogurt, thankfully. Because they mostly hate anything resembling meat or a bean, so yogurt is my go-to for protein. But cold oatmeal is apparently extremely offensive, and she would not have it. She picked plain Cheerios over it. And she is a whiny whiner about plain Cheerios usually.
I didn't even try with the toddler. She was demanding, "CRACKAS PEASE! CRACKAS!" That is toddlereese for Cheerios. She sounds like she is from the Bronx.
DH has a work happy hour tonight, so in on my own for dinner, bath and probably bedtime. I'm skeered. With DD cluster feeding all evening, I have no idea how to make dinner, bath DS, and put him to bed. DD wants to be held the whole time!
And before y'all start saying "your DH should skip the HH and come home!", it's a HH for appreciation of his team, who's been working 10-12 hour days for weeks. Since DH's their boss, it would be rude to skip it.
I just got a voicemail that was 2 minutes and 15 seconds long.
Then, while I was listening to 2:15 voicemail, my phone rang again from the same number. A second, 60 second voicemail, continued. It was really lengthy about a mortgage pre-approval process, but she never said what house she was calling about.
I hate voicemail. Why not just say "Hello, this is Jane Smith calling regarding the house on 123 Elm. Please call me back at 123-555-1212 to set up a time to view it on Saturday", like the rest of the world does?

I hate VMs like that. I have a co-worker who does it and I have pretty much stopped listening because he is going to repeat the entire speech when I call him back. No matter how much I try to cut him off and answer his question. Which typically requires a sentence.

I'm having a haircut re-done today and I am so nervous about it. Like I think I might actually cry if it looks bad. I feel like overall I've been looking so frumpy lately, and have really been looking forward to getting my hair cut as a way to look a little more put together. I really hope it comes out ok!

Took the boys to the zoo today. There's a set of statues DS1 kept hugging on our way out. When other people came up to take a photo with them, he'd wag his finger and scold, "Ah ah ah! Mine, not yours!" Hilarious but mortifying.

I got a crazy haircut today. I might look like I'm trying too hard but IDGAF.
I got a rash as an reaction to antibiotics. It showed up on my last day of taking them and it's been a week since to and I'm still itchy. Nothing we can do except cortisone and wait it out.
