Is on Amazon Deal of the Day. $215 marked down from $900
Convenient since my Kenmore (which isn't made anymore??) just threw a screw in the presser foot and I have no idea if I can get a replacement part (the screw hole is stripped).
It has okay reviews, but, new/modern Singer machines aren't generally very good. In the interest of having "all the info" to make this decision, this was never on Amazon anywhere near $900- the highest it ever went was $426 (last November). It hovers just over $300 for the last couple of months. $215 is probably cheap enough to take a chance- Amazon's returns are so easy.
ETA: You can almost certainly find a replacement foot attachment- what's your model number?
If you're in the market for a good sewing machine, I can't say enough good things about Baby Lock. They have machines at a bunch of different price points and are sturdy, amazing machines.

Singer lower end models aren't great machines. They don't keep tension and the bobbins jam easily. I would checkout Elna or Juki. They make solid work horse machines and very reasonably priced.
