Despite having chicken I was hoping DH would throw on the grill tonight, we decided to go lazy on dinner. DH has been cleaning out the fridge by eating leftovers. I've had a bowl of cereal and a cheese hot dog. I still need something else...!
Holy hell this evening has been a shitshow. DS said he was "soooo tired" starting at like 11am, so I put him down for a nap a little early (1:30 instead of 2). He napped for 30 minutes! He hasn't done that in ages. I tried in vain for quite awhile to get him to go back to sleep, and finally gave up and told him he had to be quiet and read books for awhile (so I could take a much-needed breather). Then we went to my parents house for the evening since DH was at a HH. And DS was a holy terror. Threw his dinner, hit his sister, poured water out of the tub at bath time. DH just did the quickest bedtime routine ever since DS was not listening AT ALL. Goodness gracious!

Today was my first day at my new job. Dh is traveling for work. I'm just now sitting down to eat dinner. Things went smoother than I expected though so I'll take it.
I am done buying produce at Publix. I just had to throw away two things of broccoli that was moldy. Broccoli shouldn't mold in 4 days. There go my dinner plans for stir fry.
Huh that is highly unusual for them. They will refund you if you take it with you next time.
It happens with pretty much everything except apples. Plus I hate how pretty much all the vegetables are prepackaged. And overpriced!
rbp There is a Fresh Market around the corner, but really I just want my Wegmans back.

Today when I picked DS up from daycare I sat in the back to put him in his seat. I closed the door because it was super windy. And then realized DS put the child lock on. So i was trapped. I couldn't get to the front (too small of car). So i climbed over DS in his car seat to go out the other back door. 25 weeks pregnant...not the easiest. Ds thought it was hilarious.
I went to Sams's Club and Target alone tonight. It was my little slice of heaven. At Sam's I got 2 workout skirts with biker shorts built in. @notquiteblushing would be so proud of me. I'm pretty sure they're going to be staples of my summer wardrobe and I'm not talking about using them to actually work out in. I also picked up a cute coral and grey patterned maxi skirt. Then of course diapers, wipes and other Sam's club essentials too.
Target is next door so I picked up the things I needed there and also got a really cute and comfortable top. I can dress it up with black pants or just wear it with jeans. It's also flattering with my stomach so that's awesome. While I went and did that DH put DD to bed and of course she was an angel for him.

Just got home from our Vegas trip. We are running on 4 hours of broken sleep, got the kids McDonald's for dinner on the way home and now they are watching a movie before bedtime.
Strange how it seems very similar to what our life will be like in 4 months when we have a newborn again.
I'm loving the excitement/disappointment over specific grocery stores. I live in such a small town that the idea of having a "favorite" chain of grocery stores is funny. We have one store. No choices.
We had to leave dance class because dd was being a terror getting dressed and not listening, hitting, etc. So we left without atending. I was pissed. I left work 90 minutes early so I could take her. So mad. Luckily she shaped up once we got home but she did a time out and no tv.
A friend with a kid with a rare form of leukemia just announced that they are taking him home to spend time with his bothers because he's not strong enough for his second bone marrow transplant.

What makes one better than the others?
The major stores in Atlanta are Publix and Kroger. People like Publix because (IMO) their produce is fresher, their house brand is higher quality, and their staff are extremely helpful and friendly. People like Kroger because their prices are better.
I KNOW I'M PAYING FOR A PLEASURABLE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE, OK??

Will my sister ever have her baby?
Timeline: - wakes up at 1:30 am on 4/22 after water breaks with a big gush. Calls doctor who advises her to stay home to see if contractions start on their own. - Goes in to doctor at 10am, monitored for a bit and sent home because labor is not really starting - SLEEPS AT HOME. Gets to hospital for induction at 8am on 4/23. Start Pitocin. - I talked to my mom two hours ago and Pitocin contractions are strong and often but had just been checked and she was only 3cm and nurse said that the baby was not descending at all.

I grew up in a town with one choice and it was just fine, and we kept buying there when the local Walmart turned into a supercenter. But now I know that HEB is the best grocery store ever and am sad that only Texas people get to experience the awesomeness. Reasons why HEB is awesome: low prices, in-store coupons on the shelves by the products they go with, great selection of store and name brands, decent produce. No Wegmans or Publix here, though I've been to both once, I still prefer HEB. The other grocery stores nearby are Randalls (aka Safeway) which is so-so on price and selection, and various expensive hippie stores (Sprouts, Whole Foods, Natural Grocers).

COME OUT you crazy child!
That's rough! My sister just had her baby a few weeks ago and she had to go through hours and hours of Pitocin contractions because her baby was really really high up. I am hazy on the details but I think they had to let her rest and start it over again a few hours later. She did eventually have the baby so yay?
Oh, and DD was pretty good tonight, but yesterday and the day before she was melting down and inconsolable all evening. I think all of our kids (on MMM) are conspiring against us, since it seems like everyone has been grumpy lately.
