I want to watch. It dawned on me during a commercial last night I don't think I've ever heard him speak more than a few words. He was always overhead owed by that hag he was married to.
I want to watch. I admit my knowledge about transgender is limited. This is just about gender, not about sex right? Please don't burn me, I really don't know and would like to know. This is something he probably had a tendency or desire for a long time. I wonder if Kris Jenner knew and fought it through out the years. Makes me sad that h/she? had to be something for many years that he was uncomfortable with
I definitely want to know what he has to say, but 2 hours? No, I won't watch. I agree with underwaterrhymes - I think it's going to be a LOT of filler.
I've got the DVR all set, but will likely fast forward through all of the filler only to be disappointed at the end when he reveals nothing.
Well, he really doesn't have to reveal anything if he doesn't want to.
I mean, he's in the public eye through his own choosing, so he has to expect the media attention, but if he is transitioning it's truly only his business and the business of his family.
But the media circus is what it is. Don't count on it being entirely about his gender. Make no mistake, they're trying to rope people in for a whole lot of stuff you already know.

I've set the DVR. I find the whole thing fascinating. He is so high profile and has the platform to help with understanding and others who are transgendered.

My sister is coming over tonight (unrelated to the interview LOL) and we are very excited to watch it. He was photographed outside of his house the other day in a maxi dress. I hope after the interview he is comfortable being who he wants to be. It has to be tough to be doing it all with the paparazzi following you.
Same. I think he's a shitty parent and that says a lot more about him than how he identifies re: gender. I'm not interested in his journey. I care that he fucked up all his kids.
I'll probably have it on in the background while I do other stuff.
Hopefully the press doesn't keep screwing up the pronouns! Actually, I wonder what pronouns they'll use during the broadcast?
Bruce hasn't officially announced that transition is taking place. The family is still using "he" and it's not inappropriate to use "he" until the person who is transitioning has said "she" is what they prefer.
Right now it's all still speculation and until Bruce is using "she," I'm okay with people not being sure which pronoun to use.

You take that back, Brody is amazing.
But he was a terrible father to Brody (who is delicious).

If I know me, I'll dvr it, fall asleep before it starts, and then just come into the thread about it tomorrow morning, saving me tv watching time, but spending far more than two hours reading the thread(s). If I know me.

Gender identity and sexual orientation are two different things. A friend of mine was born a man and just recently (the last couple of years) completed the process of becoming a woman. She has always been attracted to women and still is, that part doesn't change. So for her, she now considers herself a lesbian. Many who are born the wrong gender do happen to be gay, but that isn't necessarily the case. So although Bruce may feel that he was born in the wrong body, that doesn't mean he's automatically gay, even though that's what most people will assume. I hope this program will get into that aspect because it's another assumption that needs to stop. Gender identity and sexual attraction are both complex and not necessarily linked.
