It's a sharp, contracting pain directly below your ribs on the right side.
I once had a gallbladder attack that started halfway through a flight. I think it went on for about 3 hours, I drove home during the pain because if I had to be admitted to a hospital, I didn't want to go to one by LAX. LOL. Anyway, the pain stopped by the time I got home and later my doctor said he thought that's what it was based on location. He said the pain is comparable to labor. It felt really horrible, I couldn't even breathe normally during contractions.
I was talking with someone who works at a hospital (support staff) and he was going on about how gall bladder attacks are actually very mild, pain-wise.
I gave him the biggest side-eye ever.
Ditto on the dying. It's like... burning pain under your ribcage on the right side, then just plain pain. With my worst attack, I could actually feel the other organs touching my gallbladder.

Haha no. My mom said it was worse than childbirth.
Okay. I'm not at the dying stage, I don't think anyway, but I have been having some pain for the last three days. It's pretty uncomfortable and wakes me up at night.

Mine were never painful but they were pretty much anytime I ate something, felt similar to weird indigestion, and also felt like there was something on the inside pressing hard and tapping under my ribcage on the right side.

Mine was more in my back- like my back needed to pop but couldn't.
I posted in the hair drying thread the other day that I rarely, and I mean RARELY let my hair air dry, I always blow dry it.
Well, of course just days later I came to work today with wet hair. I did spray beach waves stuff in it but it looks like a hot damn mess today. There was a retirement party for one of the VPs last night. Which turned into half the out of town people, me, the HR manager, and a few others going to dinner. That turned into HEY LET'S GO TO THE BAR afterwards. I was up SO past my bedtime last night and could barely get out of bed this morning. I did my makeup at my desk.
I was so rushed getting out the door I went from wearing a skirt, heels, and pantyhose attire yesterday to jeans, a half-zip workout top, and Chucks today. LOL
