Thanks for the recap. Great job! Man I can't imagine doing a marathon in the rain and cold. I am so glad the medic helped you. Wow, that was scary reading that. Glad recovery has been easy. You did great!!!

Such a great recap. So glad you had great volunteers in the med tent and that your DH was there to bring you dry clothes. I can't even imagine how cold you must've been. You mentioned nothing about chafing....so hope that wasn't an issue! Rain or shine, you finished the BOSTON marathon in an amazing time and can rock that jacket proudly. :-) Thanks for sharing!
Amazingly, I did not chafe at all. I don't even know how that is possible, but I was really surprised. I have one angry toenail, but other than that, all is well. And as far as expo comparisons... YES my only other huge race has been Chicago. All the other marathons have been smaller low key type things. I am so not cut out for massive crowds.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Congratulations! Impressive effort on a rough day, and I'm glad you were okay afterwards!
As a side note, I did not know the organization in Chicago was abnormal. Houston is similarly well-organized and that's my only other marathon experience.
