I've been trying to process this for the last 24 hours. I got the results back from the bacterial DNA sequencing. This allows my doctor to pinpoint even more accurately than a culture what kind of bacteria are infecting my sinuses. I got back 4 very unusual bacteria. My ENT had to look two of them up b/c she'd never heard of them. At this point, there isn't anything else she can do. I'm heading to an infectious disease doctor in a week (soonest I could get in) to see what treatments they will do. My guess is that it will be a few rounds of IV antibiotics that they do in their office. I'm still Googling but trying to to do too much since I'm under the care of great docs. We are pretty sure that all of the antiobiotics I've been on since my knee surgery over a year and a half ago have something to do with it.
In the meantime, I can ride, work, and do whatever but not bury myself and take it easy if I get too tired.
