What's everyone having? I don't want to resort to pizza, but I will if I have to. I want to know what everyone else is having so I can figure out my plan! I will stop at the grocery store if I have to.

And salted chocolate chunk cookies for dessert. Using Guittard super cookie chips instead of chopped chocolate because they were a hell of a lot cheaper than half a pound of chocolate (and were on sale).

You know, I need a disclaimer when I post these "HEY tell me what to have for dinner!" threads because really....you...you're just SHOWING OFF!!!

Friday night is pizza and movie night at our house.
I plan to eat pizza and drink heavily. My ILs are here and my husband worked all day so they were here with me. All day. On the upside, they wanted to go to Home Depot for something for our built ins. While there I decided to let Scarlett just pick out a bunch of flowers, and my MIL got super into it and as redoing our landscaping. They're the type that can't sit still which sort of drives me nuts but I managed to come up with something for them to do.

How are the cookies, texture-wise? I like a pretty soft cookie, myself, so I'm always looking for a recipe. My husband has vowed to only bake cookies at home, since we got a mixer. I don't bake sweet things. As a result, we pretty much never have cookies. But I can point him to this recipe if they don't turn out too crispy - or if you have another cookie recipe to suggest.

I haven't tried them yet, but they are supposed to be pretty soft. I love soft cookies too.
This recipe is pretty fantastic - thick and chewy chocolate chip cookies. They don't even look like they come close to the thickness of the recipe I posted above, though.
