I finished my last freelance project today before the baby! I'm going to take a 2 month break after she's born too and then see if I'm ready to jump back in.
I took photos and made sure their head was at the top of the frame and it went down to just below their shoulders. I printed 5x7s of them on card stock and cut around the features very carefully. I painted the backs of them (so I could easily turn them over and figure out which kid it was) with black tempera paint and a foam brush. I did two coats today and will see if I need to add another coat on Monday. I am going to cut scrapbooking paper and have the kids pick which print they want their silhouette mounted on, and then frame them!
I made two almost perfect loaves of bread today. High altitude baking is no joke, and for months my bread has ended up with holes in the middle or flying crust issues or a list of other problems. I FINALLY seem to have gotten the issues solved! Happy dance!
I am so proud of Ruby, guys. She is saying mama/mommy, dada, bubbles, go, hi, bye, mwah! (like for a kiss), yum and a few others. I could cry with relief. She also will try to pronounce a lot of words after you say them. Yay!
She's also a full time walker now and I should say a full time RUNNER. oh my gosh.
Luke has been smiling and I love it so much! Lily was the first person to make him smile and it was on her birthday. Also I think his reflux medicine is really helping him, I don't want to jinx it but he's doing a lot better.
