I wasn't going to say anything because I don't know if I am overreacting or not.
L has been sick all week. Mostly just fever starting on Sunday. This morning he woke up with a productive cough and his nose a little runny. Wednesday, he had a total freak out while playing outside that his left eye hurt. I thought it was sinus pain and didn't take him back to the doctor.
We were in Ikea today and he threw up then started complaining that his back hurt. I decided to go ahead and and take him in to urgent care.
His oxygen was low and because of his symptoms they went ahead and did a chest X-ray. The tech came in afterward and asked me if he had anything metal on his shirt. I became sort of alarmed because no he didn't have anything metal on. The doctor came in and there was a small round spot on his X-ray. She asked if he had swallowed an object or anything . I started to kind of freak out . She wants a second opinion from radiology at the hospital across the street. I keep telling myself it's nothing or it's the pneumonia, but the uncertainty that the doctor had in her face is making me freak out. Even my H is freaked.
He was discharged as having pneumonia and put on antibiotics, but we will know more tomorrow.
Please pray for my little boy. I've never been so scared in my life. The doctor is supposed to call us tomorrow with an answer or if we need to go in for a repeat xray or some other type of imaging.
I'm in his crib and I am not ever going to let him go. I just love him so, so much.

I'm sorry you are worried sweetie. You will take the best care of him and will be ok. I hope you get the all clear on the mystery spot very very soon, big hugs to you two.

Oh gosh, I am so sorry he is sick and you don't have all the answers yet. Hopefully tomorrow you'll be able to get some relief that everything is okay. Thinking of you all!
So many good thoughts for L. I can't imagine how scared and worried you must feel. I hope the antibiotics kick in and he is back to his normal self tomorrow. Huge hugs to you.
