I got a similar dress for my bff's wedding. I was sure I was going to wear it again and then I caught the Lyme, lost a shit load of weight, and it's too big. Sad panda.
Liking the first part, not the second!
It was actually the 2nd dress too. The store didn't measure me correctly. (They didn't do across the chest. Hi. I'm a fucking F cup you donkey across is like the most important measurement) so when it came in, it didn't zip at a certain point. At my girl's bachelorette party, she asked, "how'd it fit?" To which I brightly responded, "like a glove!" But that was a lie. I had a seamstress look at it but she couldn't do anything so it was off to Nordstrom for me. I gave the dress place Old Testament justice on the phone and they were real bold until I started my social media scorched earth campaign. I got half back to take my reviews down. I thought about holding out but they had a policy about not taking the dress unless you try it yada yada and I let my friend pick it up for me. Stupid on my part. But still. My across was really important!!!
That's pretty, definitely rewearable. For my wedding I had a strapless floor length light blue satin dress. My SIL has worn it as a Cinderella costume for many halloweens. I'm not sure if I should be offended by that or not. I'm glad it was good for something else though.
pip you as bride & pip your sil as Cinderella Sinderella
Cute BM dresses you feel good in can be worn to formal events (I've worn one to a fancy Oscar party), maybe a work holiday party, New Year's Eve, and of course, other weddings. Never say never!
Of course, there can be too much of a good thing. I really only need one long formal gown and one formal cocktail dress at a time. Maaaaybe two cocktail dresses if one is black. Or if one is more summery in appearance/style/fabric.
I have a former BM dress that has been worn on several occasions. To be fair the bride just told me to just find a black knee length dress so really it is just a LBD but still.
