3 NB diapers and 2 size 1 diapers (we get them free at the hospital, I just packed them in case) 2 NB onesies, a 0-3 onesie, a hat, pair of socks, pair of gloves, Swaddle Me three different soothers nursing pads
Missing: wipes - have to pick up a pack for the bag, anything else?
My bag:
2 nursing tanks 2 pairs of shorts a pair of yoga pants one pair of undies (I prefer the mesh ones they provide frankly) socks
I agree with zarapipe about the diapers/wipes/slippers and Chapstick but not the hat. My son did better with a hat and the one they provided didn't fit well and was scratchy.
I used more baby clothes than that because I didn't like using the hospital ones. I also brought my own blankets and swaddles for the same reason- much softer and stretchier.
Boppy or nursing pillow. I like having face wipes so I can freshen up without getting out of bed. Nice toiletries for an amazing awesome first shower after labor. And SNACKS. OMG I got so hungry MOTN for the first few weeks.
I didn't wear any pants at all while at the hospital both times. I wore a dress home both times as well. So, I would strike the shorts/yoga pants from your list.
I am on my phone, so can't see the original post. Did you include a baby book in there? I had my kids' footprints put in the baby book at the hospital both times. I also wrote my birth story in the hospital.
I was dying for my first post partum shower and was so glad I brought my own bathrobe, towel and blow dryer. I realize that sounds totally excessive but it was really worth it to me.

Any recommendations on a comfortable dress for easy nursing? I wore the hospital gown for way too long last time, but apart from this scenario I'm not a dress person.

I had/still have an Old Navy maternity dress that's a faux wrap. The sides pull down easily for nursing. I was just in Old Navy tonight and they still have that style in the maternity section.
I used almost nothing but hair ties, phone chargers, light weight robe, shampoo/tooth brush/soap, and me and baby's clothes going home.
Thing that was helpful was my work phone that I didn't think of at first so I could let everyone know I was out and forward a couple of last unresolved things easily.
I really liked a Navy nursing gown and robe set that I bought at Kohls Onsale. And cheap black ballerina slippers that I already had. I hated hospital gowns and they didn't fit great so it was falling off Of me. I think that I wore this most of the time that I was at the hospital. Now that I think about it, I May very well have put that on and left it one for 36 hrs Also not a huge "dress" person myself.
I was too sore and getting checked too often that I wanted nothing to do with yoga pants.
I did use snacks for the husband, chapstick, PoNY tail holders. I'll think about it some More and come back.

What I figured out the first time around is I really only needed labor things since h went home at least once to shower after birth.
But overall I used:
One baby outfit Yoga pants, sports bra, tank top underwear and sweatshirt for me Chapstick Hairbrush Tooth brush and tooth paste Shampoo and soap Phone and charger Snacks for labor and a book for labor
I think that's it? It's been awhile lol
The first time I only changed into real clothes when I left. The second time I stopped bleeding through everything in 24 hours so I changed then and had h bring a second outfit back with him.
Sports bra in case I wanted to labor in the tub. I wasn't 100% comfortable being topless before DD was out. Dark colored nursing gown, that way any blood/fluid wouldn't show. The one I had also had a matching robe. Camera/video camera + extra batteries. Baby book. Snacks for DH. I wasn't too hungry beyond meals but he was ravenous. Huge Contigo water bottle with straw. My own toiletries. That first shower, and washing my hair, was amazing.
Also a tip, not related to packing: if the cafeteria/kitchen isn't open late or 24/7, order a PB&J sandwich with your dinner. It was great when I was up MOTN feeding DD - protein, carbs, and I was able to eat it one-handed.
Also, when family visited, they brought a birthday cake + plates, forks, spoons, a knife to cut it. Best idea ever.
