Fun!
My sister and nephew are coming over and we're having a pancake breakfast because our gluten free husbands won't be around. Later, I need to get some supplies to make lactation cookies - visiting a friend tomorrow who doesn't eat refined sugar or dairy, so I'm going to attempt a paleo-ish recipe. We'll see how they turn out...

We are all hanging out in bed watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates. No plans for today except the grocery store - potentially decorating my sister's house for when they come home from the hospital. And Target!
We're having pancakes, and then DH and DD are going grocery shopping. DD has been feeling a little attention-starved lately since I can't run around with her as easily right now, so I told her we'd bake cookies this afternoon.
My husband took baby duty last night and I slept for SEVEN HOURS STRAIGHT. It was glorious.
The baby and I went to a family party last night and didn't get home until 11 pm. He ate and went to sleep at 11:30, then slept until 4 and now he is still asleep and we're coming up on 8. We had a 4.5-hour stretch! Life is good.
And today not much is going on. I am going to take him with me to the library and shoe shopping.
So tired. Stayed up until 12:30 and had to work at 6. So dumb, but I couldn't fall asleep. Someone brought doughnuts to work and I really want one, but I'm trying to save my points for dinner out tonight for MHs birthday. Dilemmas. The breakfast and lunch I have planned leave me 34 for dinner and I'm sure I'll use them all. And my weekly points are almost gone. I'm trying to be good. @gravytrain's post on FB last night was super motivating.

We went over our list of things we needed to get done today. On that list was laundry. I told DH I would stay back and do laundry/clean the house while he took M to the grocery store. I just went down to start laundry and its on the effing cleaning cycle. WHY would you start a cleaning cycle right after I said I was going to start laundry?! Grrr

DH has been at an all weekend bachelor party and I haven't heard from him today yet. He better be in good enough shape to watch DS so I can go grocery shopping by myself.
I stayed up too late watching the Bruce Jenner thing and then couldn't sleep because I was thinking about it.
DD's birthday party was yesterday, and DH and I are spent. I really need to do laundry, finish cleaning and put away all DD's new toys but then I would have to get off the couch.
MIL wins again, for most random present. She gave us an old book of DH's, plus a CD of him reading it when he was 6 years old. She was all "so A can hear what her Daddy sounded like at 6 years old!!" Uh, ok.
DH's grandma also bought her a boom box. I had no idea they still made boom boxes.
DS is 1 week old today! Lol so we are still home all day.
Yesterday my sister came and took DD swimming for a bit. I think DH is taking her to the park this morning. Supposed to a high of 97(!) today. I feel bad she is stuck home bc we are.
I think we are going to brave church with both girls.
H and FIL installed an egress window in our basement yesterday (so we can have a guest room again). He needs to mortar a bit today on the stone outside of the house.
DH and DD are at church and I'm supposed to be planting flowers but instead I'm snuggling my ornery pug and missing my sweet snuggly pug. His gotcha day was 7 years ago today.
I need the sun to come out. We may be doing a picnic/kite fest this afternoon if it warms up
Thanks to all the Lilly Pulitzer hype and my inability to get the only thing that interested me, I placed an order last night on Zappos for a bunch of espadrilles, including a shiny metallic pair and a pair with a pineapple print.
Mind you, I already own a few pairs of espadrilles, including some hand-crafted ones I bought in the Basque Country.

We are getting ready from church.
Then we are going straight to a 1st bday party. Even though the party is supposed to end at 1pm I think we are suppose to stay all afternoon and hang out with them. The dad is one of DH's old military buddies and they rarely all get to see each other anymore. So it's going to be a long day of being out and no naps for the kids, but still should be fun.
I woke up and H was like, "I listed our wedding champagne flutes on eBay, they've just been sitting in the box taking up space. I didn't think you'd mind."
WTF dude? I am not terribly sentimental but if I've saved something for 5 years, there's a reason.

Omg, I've hit a new low. I binge watched 7 episodes of Married at First Sight season 2 yesterday. Now I'm starting on season 1. It's shameless but so interesting, IMO. I'm a tad obsessed. DH thinks I'm a lunatic.
DS has a cold. Again. He gets sick anytime he's around other kids. ANYTIME! I had kept him at home for a month before DD was born so he wouldn't get sick. I kept him at home for 6 weeks after DD was born. I thought we were finally in the clear, that I could finally leave the house. So I took the kids to library story time on Wednesday. And BAM, exactly 72 hours later (the incubation period for a cold), DS is sick. I'm so worried he's going to give it to DD. I'm trying to keep them separated, and wash everyone's hands. But I'm already exhausted caring for just the two of them, let alone one or both of them being sick. DS's sickness routine is exhausting. Nebulizer every 4 hours, inhaler morning and evening, ibuprofen (and probably steroids soon) every 6 hours, refill humidifier 2x a day. I feel so bad that he's sick. I just wanted to leave the house!
I forgot to mention, DS may have a compromised immune system. We're getting him tested. So he gets sick more frequently and virulently than other kids. A simple cold usually results in bronchitis or pneumonia. He's had both several times, no matter how careful I am. Poor little guy
